    Re: Qualtex spares box size

get that a lot but at least they are using bubble wrap at the mo and not the crushed carboard boxes the used for a while which is harder to get rid of and makes a mess

1 are you rinsing the dishes first ?
2 check the drain had a few badly fitted dishwashers where the sink water was getting back into the dishwasher through bad fitting giving a gritty residue

the supressor only feeds the power through itself. if you get a multimeter with a buzzer to check for continuity you can buzz through the wires from the plug
when you say you have power in the supressor what do you mean ?

you should have a live and neutral ie one dead one one live one ( 2 of each for a 4 wire supressor)
as long as you have a live and neutral going to the board it must be the fault. it may be able to be fixed but it depends on fault but you need an electronics expert to diagnose it

    Re: Yellow Pages Cockup

gave up yellow pages not worth it now. i would never use it or any other printed directory. go for internet everytime and if it was just online they could change it in 30 secs

i think they should not charge you a fee for the advert as they got it wrong but dont know the legal contract side.

Re: Candy GOC 218 (Grand O) – not spinning or heating!

    take the lid off

switch the dryer on and as you press start give the drum a push

if it goes it is probably going to be the motor capacitor

bad news due to hoovers aweful build quality its a pig to get to

    advise

give up, for a cheap dryer buy a white knight, for better quality buy a bosch or for the very best buy miele

you dont grease a dryer they use dry bearings so you would need to strip and find out why. at this point if you have grased it in the wrong place you may need to replace the seals to get it dry again
the burning smell is prob from the heater coming on when the motor and fan is not moving

Re: whirlpool gas hob only 2 sparking

when the gas is lit the spark can jump the gap easier. chances are the spark electrodes are broken. if there is a crack in them the spark goes the easiest way. if the gas is not lit it goes through the crak but sparks in the normal place when lit.
to effect a repair the hob would have to be disconnected and removed from the work surface

to be honest its a lot less problems and safer to buy a gas match

    3 bolts round the door

    remove soap draw
remove 3 screws 2 left and right of soap draw and 1 just to left of soap draw (will be torx 20 screws)
open filter cover and unlatch the small plastic drain pipe

the whole front of the machine will now hinge open, there is a metal clip at the bottom left hand side which sometimes needs helping to release

    Re: Whirlpool 7560/1 integrated dishwasher – Issues..Please

some of the dishwashers had holes in the roof that they used bungs to close when not required
just open door and look at the top to make sure you have not got any open holes
