Re: Bosch/Siemans maglock style Dishwasher Door Locks

i had one that was doing that through bad fitting

sounds like when it get hot its enough to expand something and cause the door to pop open

make sure its square if one leg is too high it twists door
make sure the hinges have not been strained

you have the same problem we in the trade meet every day

the model number on hotpoint machines is not enought to get the right part. have looked up your model and got 3 different heaters. (even on the ebay page you bought from mentions another heater)

inside the door is a label. on that label is 3 numbers
    1 model CTD40G
    2 commercial code
    3 serial number

you need all 3 to be certain its the right part

if you post those numbers i am sure someone hers with access to that info may give you the correct part number

when the stats blow then the clean filter light comes on

if the stats are blowing then things are getting too hot its either

1 faulty element look for broken elements that can touch each other
2 faulty air flow check fan, filter, condensor

electroulux list this fault as follows

E36 Sensing circuit on anti-boiling pressure switch 1
    defective Main board defective.

    does not sound too promising
