dont know the cooker but some hobs have links on the terminal blocks. if these have a bad connection it will stop some of the rings working

    do you need to ?

is this not a quick way of checking the new element is working?

do they say why you have to use the test cycle ?

i would try it on a programme and see what happens. make sure it fills etc as if vno water comes in will blow new heater

make sense now i read it properly 😆

    Re: baumatic BHD5 PCB

have checked ntc wiring back to pcb ?

had one of these where the thermal limiter used to pop every now and then. i put it down to loading (ie if a plate was stopping water cooling area around stat it would trip )

ntc could be fault dont know resistance but would make it overheat if it was faulty. my answer would be one of 2 things 1 buy a new ntc 2 think resistance goes down with temp so put a 10k resistor across it and see what happens (this is meant as a test not a repair )

still sound like a motor fault

i dont think the hotpoint motors are a straight swap for these. from memory think the tacho had a resistor across it on the plug and the motor pulley was different. check resistances from your old motor to see if things mactch

these motors always seemed to stuggle to start and i last saw one about 12 months ago. have just discarded 3 or 4 prog boards that i found in my attic. dont think i have anymore but will look

with the conventional oven ok that would lead me to say the temp sensor is ok ( unless there are 2 sensors )
so it sound like your pcb
    but

i would check the voltage on the element while it is running with a veiw to the following

1 element fails as it get hot long shot but you cant dismiss it till you have tried
2 relay that controls the element is faulty

am not in work at mo so i cant check if i have tech info on this. if its built before pm me will see what i have

let me have your email will see what i can do
