Re: candy GO282 goes straight to fill

    its prob only the triac

find out which one by buzzing wires back and solder another one in. do it all the time and if you pinch it off a scrap board it cost nothing to find out

they are at the front same as non condensor attached to the filter housing.
got to take the rear off to get at and that normally means breaking the hot air fan unless your lucky

Re: candy GO282 goes straight to fill

first call on all these type of faults is earth problems nice to rule it out early as a lot of electronic controlled parts are neutral switched

next i would change the triac on the board that controls the valve. it does not take a lot of leakage to fire a valve

after that its probably the board

Re: Diplomat oven – no symbols!!

a lot of diplomat ovens have the model number on amother label on the top of the oven
undo the screws that hold the oven in and slide it out 6 inches most of the time you will then find carroect model
be aware if you pull it out too far oven will tilt forward so get help if oven high off floor

once you get correct model we can see if panel is still available

count how many positions there are on the main switch to get an idea of how many options you have
    poss answers
grill :: may be 2 positions for grill half and full. thermostat has to be turned up to make grill come on
fan oven :: you have already found this
light :: some oven have a light only postion normally the first click clockwise
defrost oven fan running no heat

    more complex ovens also have
convection oven ( top and bottom elements)
lower element only ( under floor of oven)
    top element only

you instruction book will help with this

    hope it helps
