that ones worse you have holes in the wheel so the grass will get burnt

the wm drum bothers me you have aluminium underneath the melts at 660 degress C and the burning temp of oak wood fires can range from 480 to 650 degrees bit close for my liking especially if some idiot puts coal on it

    Re: Cooker hood repairs

most cooker hood details are inside if the customer removes the filter there is a sticker that is visible stuck to the inside of the hood
there are various faults that can happen
switch faults : integrated hoods turn on when you pull the front out this microswitch can fail or the cam operating it can break off
lamp faults : when the hood is fitted the manual states that a 3A fuse be fitted if this is not done and a lamp fails it can blow the tracks on the pcb if its none electronic solder board new fuse and lamp job done

most hoods can be accessed at ground level there are a few occasions when you have to climb but mostly this is to get at the plug or spur box to access the fuse

    hope this helps

all be it way back in the days of BT139 triacs or even massive thyristors paired with a massive diode,

you remember the old DC hoover modules then.
used to repair them even made a rig to check all the speeds where ok
simple days no programmed chips, no surface mount electronics you cant see, just plain old chuncky simple components

:boops: am feeling old now 😀

    Re: Hoover AM110 Spinning problems

    two faults spring to mind

1 not draining properly blockages in hoses filters etc
2 there is an air operated switch that has a small plastic tube leading to a chamber if this chamber get blocked it wont spin but if you try it on spin a bit later the air has leaked out and it will work

if you want to post a picture of the motor one of us may recognise it
these motors are quite common and if aquasol bought it in there may be other appliances with the same unit

by the looks of the parts breakdown this machine has both hot and cold feeds
my first check would be hot water valve and water supply

Re: Canon 20170E top oven grating noise.

the cooling fan does 2 jobs

1 it keeps the controls cool so they dont get to hot when the grill is on
2 it provides an air curtain to stop the heat and smoke fron getting on the control panel and knobs
on some cookers it is also used to keep the door cool to stop people burning themselves

the grill does not need a fan but there will be an overheat stat that will switch off the grill if the controls area get too hot

it is normally in the top of the unit at the back so to get at it you would have to remove the oven and take the top off

dont forget to switch off first

    Re: candy GO146

heaters and motors are my first thoughts but in fact could be a lot of things
the reason the machine trips is it has an earth fault and although the above are the most common causes it could be wiring , pumps, supressor ( if it trips as you turn the plug on ) and water leakage to name a few

if you dont understand this then you need a professional

Re: Blown PCB on John Lewis JLFZW1806

with a bang like this there has to be a reason
you would need to find out what jod the triac does and in frost free units it could be lamps, fans, compressor etc
you would need to trace the wiring and find out

repairing the triac and board track would not be a prob but other components might have gone so it may be unrepairable

    its worth learning
just had a bosch auto that blew the pump
also blew 1 triac 1 resistor 1 transistor
had to order 250 resistors and 50 transistors still cost under a tenner so i have a few left
secondhand triac off a hotpoint board and its a goer

result i can charge for repairing the board and the pump+ fitting instead of scrapping it Ber
