provided the wiring in the cooked has not changed or been altered by mistake i think the following

from what you are saying it sounds like you have blown a fuse and now the thermostat contacts are welded together

    you need a new stat

Re: Have I ruined my dishwasher?

first it not you. You can leave filters out and it wont damage machine

you need a qualified engineer to look at machine and find the short. until that is found you wont know whether its fixable or not

May I suggest you use this site in future to find a reliable local engineer who knows what they are doing

Re: Bosch Classixx 1400 washing machine stopped heating wate

thermostat on these machine is electronic normally mounted on the heater check for broken wires

seems very strange that it heated ok before the move and not after you are sure it was not plumbed into hot water in old house by mistake ( get that all the time been to a lady a few weeks ago had machine plumbed wrong way round for over 10 years ) in old house if clothes were warm at the end of wash then thats it

you can check board for contact damage around heater relay. it could be heater relay failed
there is so many if’s that unless you know what you are doing it gets complicated

    i would ignor Diamond H

have you tried it on a very hot programme that way if it does heat you can feel it
not sure how this machine handles no heat some machines stop and wait other machines like Zanussi move through prog even it heater does not work

long shot i assume where you lived before it was plumbed into cold water. as a test if you are unsure was the washing still warm at the end of the programme?

if motor is free to turn
there is a component in most dishwashers and tumbledryers called a capacitor.if this component fails it will give the symptoms you describe it is cheap and easily available. if your engineer knows his job he should know this and possible have a test one to try in his van if it does not work when new cap fitted then motor windings gone new motor time

if the motor is jammed it can either be, a blockage which can be removed, or a bearing failure which means you need a new motor

    hope this helps

Re: Arrow Oven possibly timer problem?

i am sorry but you agancy is wrong
it is their problem! you rented the house, the oven is part of the fixtures and fittings which you as a tennent expect to be in working order. it is likely the element has failed and the oven would have to be taken apart to effect the repair. If you do it you are effecting the electrical safety of this appliance

ring your agancy and tell them to get it fixed
if they dont go to citizens advice they will move their bum then

i do these jobs all the time for landlords

An element could prob be got but would need dimentions

    Re: Cooker hood grease filters.

i would ring the manufacturer for advise. cant see why it is not working
adding the carbon filters will slow down the air flow and any grease that would be in the motor would end up clogging the filter

other types use a paper element but in your case you would have to find a way of securing it

what worries me here is the word “THINK” that means he is not sure and if you buy a motor and it does not work thats an expensive mistake

what symptoms is the dishwaher showing ?

    Dave

checked my sources this must be quite old and is built by Fagor.
Cant see motor but the parts i can veiw most seem to be obsolete

Re: Arrow Oven possibly timer problem?

as Kwatt said arrow no longer exists i think they were sold by B & Q for a while

you said you talked to the estate agency but you dont say whether its rented or bought. if it rented its your landlords problem to sort it not yours start complaining

if you own the property then
if the clock is your problem it can be shorted out by a competant engineer
i dont know this cooker but is it a fan oven? if so then is the fan inside the oven turning. if the fan is turning then it could be element ( most likely), thermostst or broken wire as normally the fan does not turn if the clock fails

    hope it helps
