Re: Morphy richards elite steam generator

you can get the spares for the teefal ones but anything else is suspect

to be honest though the most common fault is broken flex which can be shortened

    cheers

Re: zanussi wjd1357 tumble dryer fault

is there any fault codes etc

also agree with martin condensors block up

you do not say which programme you set it on

is it set auto dry or timed

auto dry uses ntc in lower condensor hose to detect humidity try timed dry dont think its in use then

have scanned manual but if you want it leave email and someone will get it to you
can do it next week if you pm me

    hope this helps

Re: AEG 86741 C9 Fault code

light indicate the same thing if display not there use light to get code

    from lux info

c9 = tachometer pulses are missing

    check drive motor
    carbons
    tacho gen
    wiring

fault is listed as can only used again after a test routinr is started coulb you have to go into test and out again to reset

try hold prewash and sensitive buttons and keeping them pressed turn rotary knob to energy saving

this should start a test prog and reactivate machine

have got manual can emal it to u if you get stuck but may b next week full model of machine should be LAV86741

    hope this helps

when u say door open intermittantly i assume you mean it is locked some times and you cant open it

you can open it by hand using a coin and the screw by the soap draw

the whole front comes off this machine without too much trouble

had a lock doing this i stripped it and eased it with a file

qualtex list the lock for around £20 and in stock

    hope this helps

    Re: Whirlpool toploader not emptying

some of them had a plastic spacer to make motor shaft bigger to fit pump if pump jams for some reason these fail but just might have failed without
if pump ok you are only looking at blockages

    hope this helps

this is not better than corgi

another monopoloy extracting money under the guise of safety

i agree there needs to be some controls but the cost means if you only do a small amount of gas work its not worth it

Re: Tricity Bendix cooker SIE 531

even the diags are a bit wooly

not done this mod but i would guess the three connections are line in , fan out , element out

the live goes into old stat (2) through a switch (6) then to timer then back to stat (f)

i would guess take live to timer (5)
link wire from timer(6) to live in new stat
old wire from timer (5) needs to be on fan contact new stat

that leaves you with the element and neon wire to remaining contact

may a bit vague but its hard to explain have got wiring info but may not be able to send till next week if you want

    hope this helps

a lot of these machines are panasonic in disguise not sure on this one but it sounds likely
a lot of the components on the board are mosfets and it is likely other components will have blown as well. not worth trying to repair

am not sure but you could ring AWI to see if they can help

    Re: Whirlpool adp8500 odd fault

had similar faults like this before normaly the power supply on the pcb timer

a lot of appliances use a capacitor to drop the voltage down from 230v to 20 or so to supply electronics. As these caps get older their resistance rises causing voltage to drop. it is a similar effect to low batteries

in you scenario you turn on voltage drops electronics stall swich off and as the voltage rises switch back on again

    hope this helps

    cant find this model

    can find FAV440701

if this is correct check pressure switch this also has an overfil contact that starts the pump

    hope this helps
