Moderatorthese panels are always a problem. They are made of wood and swell
at least it seems to move a bit so best bet is to see if you can unlock one of the side rails. they move back a bit and then lift up at the back. you can then slide them off the top trying to take some of the friction out of the lid to remove it
as i said really silly design and get lots of problems with them

Moderatorclosest model I can get is
HBC86P753B
which has a different door but seems to have the same control buttons

Moderatoralways amazes me that the eco programme is the longest at 190 min but would have thought it would finish in 4 hours
try another programme and see what happens

Moderatoryou will have to remove lower cover off the front and remove pump
it twists off but there is a latch that has to be unlocked before it moves that can be a bit tricky
Dave

Moderatorif the drain pump is running and its not draining you have a dud pump or a blockage
Dave

Moderatoryou can do it by just measurement
you have the plastic frame. it has to be central left to right all you need is the vertical
clip frame into door, then measure from the screw holes to the top of the control panel
then make same measurement on the door panel. put 2 screws each side and try to see if it fits
if ok fit all screws

Moderatoryes look like 33 ohm
what you have to understand with this power supply and a lot of machines these days is they dont turn off. As long as the unit is plugged in and switched on the chip is live and consuming small amounts of power. The unit is effectively in stand by. So this means it can go pop anytime day or night

Moderatorits going to be a low ohmage 3watt fusible
from the pic i would say the first band is brown so a best guess would be 100 ohmhttps://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/throu…istors/8558778
like this
you may find it from other sources but as you can see its labelled safety resistorDave
and yes its highly possible that chip and resistor are the only casualties. it all depends if at the time of the chip blowing, was there any high voltage spike to damage other components but you wont know unless its powered up. That means either using an external power source or replacing the chip

Moderatoraccording to this site if they are correct
https://www.ezee-fix.co.uk/shop/bell…f27-e922-e206/the gen part no is 082646893
i did find one site that said they had stock but just to check a faulty stat will give a few symptoms
over freezing in which case it almost 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} the stat
no life at all in which case it may be the stat or a failed compessor
some cold but not enough can only be the stat if the compressor switches on and off. if it keeps running its a system fault

Moderatorif you can solder change the lnk chip and replace the fusible resistor and it will probably be ok
do lots of them and it works over 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time
if not this could well be the correct part but needs to be double checked

Moderatorthe lower it get the slower it is. they cant let tons of -18 air into a fridge otherwise the items nearest the input get frozen.
all the food in there contains heat which has to be removed so the more thats in there the longer it takes
as long as the temp in the end is averaging correctly. also dont forget the more the door is open the longer it takes as well
if the return air duct is blocked it will be at the back of the freezer

Moderatorwell I would normally say Smeg is slightly better than most

Moderatorok
with a bit more digging around and this is a lot more complicated. what worried me is the extra 3 wires which sounds llike a digital cotrol cableI think the motor you may need is 795211441
but i cant be certain
if you look up your model here
http://www.servevastdirect.co.uk
its saying both motor not available and no alternatives
you could contact them and ask as they are main smeg agents

Moderator[QUOTE=
Does this mean it’s just a straight swap, nothing else required to make it work?
look likely
assume you only have 2 wires to the old motor
hose connections look like thay might well be the same
does the mounting look right ?
