Moderatorif your guarentee is parts and labour just ring them as the light should not flash
also if i am correct the model number you have listed is wrong and the “W” should be “V V”

Moderatorthe lights on a lot of fridges are controlled be a small magnetic switch called a reed switch
either the magnetism from the door seal or a small bar magnet mounted in the door activates the switch when it gets close to it
at a guess i would say this switch is around the control panel area which is a convenient place to site it

If you hitch your wagon to one supplier I’d say that was a massive, massive error.

agree there they all have different stock profiles all seem to specilize in different manufacturers to one extent or another. Qualtex has not been the same since the start of the pandemic. They seem to have a policy of dropping you as a customer if you spend less that £60 a week. Something thats more difficult if they have no stock of what you need which happens more these days. Aswo is amazing, the even stock electronic components like the tyn or lnk power chips and let you order in ones. they often send more than one parcel for the same delivery for the same price and their delivery charge is lower than Qualtex. I have spent more with aswo this year then Qualtex although still see them as my first port of call but still cross check pricesadd connect into the list and am not sure which planet their on add to that the termoil thats going on there means their stock levels are really low.

Moderatorcould not be simpler.
put the multimeter on an ohms scale. look for the lowest one normally labelled 200. anything with K after it is way too hightake off the cover under the door ( 2 torx 20 screws). the motor is on the right side. remove the large plug in the side of the motor and note which connections the 2 red wires connect to. if they are not red it will be the 2 wires that are the same colour.
turn on your multimeter and touch the probes together. the display on the meter will change and probably go to zero.
not put the probes on the terminals where the 2 identical wires were connected to the motor. the reading should change if it does not then the heater has failed. to double check the meter touch the probes together again to see if the reading changesDave

Moderatorok well if fault was not element you could just replace it but you run the risk of it not being the fault and still not heating
to be certain you would have to test the element with a multimeter to confirm if its open circuit or not

Moderatordid the stat go click or not ?
also some dryer wont heat unless wet clothes are inside
try it on a timed programme its more likely to heat without clothes in
Dave
electrofix
Moderatorok first paort of call is the overheat stat
element is in the bump at the rear
looks like
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/genuine-tumble-dryer-heatercarefully remove the element and there are 3 stats on the top
you should find one stat with a small hole in the middle and if you feel the bottom of the stat the metal disk is dished in. We need it to dish out so insert a stiff bit of wire in the hole and push gently and it should go click. if it does put is back together but dont push on the stat or it will go in again
Be aware there elements are very flimsy so have to be handled with care. If the element holders are broken you may need to replace the whole unitDave

Moderatorsounds like the heater has blown but needs checking
unless its old the heater is part of the motor so that part would need to be replaced

Moderatorthey may have changed the hinges during a run

Dave

Moderatorthere is definately something going on. could be a fault code as found this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QeohmQT3PU
the one in the video seems to flash twice a few times then it flashes once from there on giving me the impression its not a fault code as I would have expected it to stay the same
as a long shot disconnect all you can. elements, steam module and see if anything changes
