Moderatorsalt is used to regenarate the resin which removes the lime out the water
search google ” how dishwasher regeneration works ” or similar
when you set the hardnes of the water the unit regenerates every 9, 30, 52 or 105 litres of water

Moderatorproblem with leaks it it could be from anywhere
a lot of Miele machines have an anti flood float but i cant see one on this model
you would take covers off and look at all the hoses including the top ones as it could be leaking from the soap draw and dripping down
so dont assume its at the bottom
Dave

Moderatorcant see any service bulletins about the problem
. the only other reason could be the regeneration coil is energised all the timeDave
electrofix
Moderatoronly place i can see one listed is Aswo and they dont show gen part no’s

Moderatore10 errors are normally fill errors
look how quickly it fills. you could have a faulty valve and it may happen part way through the cycle as it may fill ok at first but the faulty valve may not be used till later

Moderatoras long as the water is hot and there is rinse aid it should dry
some of the later dishwashers pop the door open to help drying without using energy and some have a fan to blow air in
dont know what yours does as not enough info

Moderatoras you get larger the appliance will no longer fit in a standard kitchen gap and has to be sited in a garage. all standard appliances have to be designed to fit a standard 600mm kitchen gap. this means the drum diameter has go a finite size. to gain more room some manufacturers are increasing the depth but there is limited amount you can increase that

Moderatortry taking the lid off , pull out the draw . then pour half a pint or so into the draw base. this should run down to the pump chamber.
then start it and see how it pumps
there could be a blockage around the pump inlet as lint can build up over time
