if you check the installation instructions for the hob it will tell you the fuse it should have. a lot of the time you plug them into a conveniant 13A socket with a 3A fuse in the plug

connecting to a 30A main without a smaller fuse means a bigger bang if something fails and thats not good

make sure your gas hob is fused 3A or 5A and not 30A

    no does not matter
cable is heat proof so as long as there is no bare wire to touch anything it will be fine

should be as long as the wires are securely attatched to the harness

since you can no longer use the grill its unlikely to get hot enough at the top to cause any problems

    does sound like a relay

and as far as Neff is concerned its a board but if you can find an equivalent relay it can be soldered in

there will be if you trace the wires back once you remove the covers

you may have to cut the wires if they dont go back to a seperate terminal

no thats been taken out and they even left the wires in the correct places so if you get a new element we can get it going

also you seemed to have used your email address as your forum name. This is a public forum so anyone can see it and send you sll sorts of things you dont want

I would not worry about refrigerant leak. 1 its unlikely 2 if its was leaking it would very soon not be able to get water out of clothes. also if compressor is noise its scrap

manual allows you to run test programmes so you should know when compressor is active

Also had a lot of hotpoint drain pumps making a hell of a noise for a little tiny unit so dont let a components size put you off checking
