    find and check part no

    10006705

this resistor is powered up and heat the stat its next to
this brings on the fan but residual heat makes it run on after things are turned off

first thing you do is see if the stat is closed circuit when it should be open when cool

if its ok then there is a possibility the fan has a direct feed from the selector switches so that would be my next check

take a drain pump or a valve coil

connect it to the wires of the faulty coil. we need something so it can see a circuit in case the fault code indicates a faulty coil

dont know if hving an open circuit coild will give you the fault code but that solenoid uses water from the draw to clean the evaporator face

have you looked at the evaporator face ?

you cant balance the load as such. the minute the machine tumbles anything you do has gone. the main thing is you put enough in for the machine to be able to balance it

that means older type in the newer system only cold air through ducts goes to the fridge

you also have no ice as you have already taken the freezer rear covers off

from that i deduce you need a new one

if it does not work you need a new one

there are 2 types of system

older systems have 2 refrigerant coils . one in the fridge and another in the freezer. in this system the refigerant goes to freezer first and then goes onto the fridge. if the system is loosing refrigerant or the compresor is failing the fridge is the first thing to fail as there is not enough liquid refrigerant left to cool the fridge

newer systems duct the cold air from the freezer and control this with a motorised flap . if the flap fails or ice blocks the ducts then the fridge stops working

not sure which your system is but am thinking it may be the older one. in which case i would start looking to replace

the very fact the freezer is still ok point to a possible ice build up in the freezer

    try a total defrost

turn off , doors open, 2 days

then turn on and see how it goes

ok first go to aswo and put in model and you get this

then look at your serial no
you will find the start of the serial number includes the number under the model 10706963 or similar you have to alter or add the first digits

add this to your search number so you then have

W1449CF2W 107006963 in your search box

now onto the rest of the number
from above the numbers start 53 you have to add this to your number

    so your search box becomes

    W1449CF2W 107006963 5300586946

this should get you to one model

the manual is in the documents attached to the model along with parts breakdowns etc

its not hard doing this once you get the method

these are normally good units as they are built on panasonic parts

you need to do a power test which involves putting 2 500ml of water in contaners and heating on full power for 62 secs

if you measure the average temp gain you can get a power output for your unit

    google how to do it

if used a lot the magnetrons loose power over time
