If it got a pcb poss that part of it may have gone down with it.

At room temp one will be open circuit but they would be both closeed circuit and frozen temp.

Would recomend using repairs@ section to find a refrigeration engineer.

nothing wrong with the koreans, but out of theem samsung is the better made in my opinion.

All the issues you see on this forum are related to a problem that was remidied from brand new units made from october 2005.

Thus you here so much of this problem because suppliers had so many back stock.

Apart from that there just as reliable.

If you look at the whirlpools they had big problems with theres where 2 pcbs software would conflict and shut it down them parts retail at about £180.

Maytag/admiral is now owned by whirlpool so will they be clones most likley.

If you like the look of it buy it there all made to retail as cheap as they can.

if it is blocking up drain hole then insualtion around drain hole.

changing a million thermostats and compresors wont stop the fault its put up with it or bin it.

Theres some refrigeration engineers working for some companies that dont know the difference in diagnosing correct faults.

RETURN AIR VENT SOMETIMES FREEZE UP NEAR BOTTOM OF EVAPORATER.

WHY CHANGE PCB IF YOU HEAR FAN RUNNING.

SOUND LIKE THE FLAP MECH IN FRIDGE IS OUT OF CALIBRATION BUT YOU SAY IT WAS OPEN.
SO IF ITS OPEN AND THE FAN IS RUNNING AND THE VENTS ARE NOT BLOCKED WITH ICE COULD BE THE FAN IS RUNNING TO SLOW?

the app6403 had a batch that the insulation was poor which allowed water to gain excess to pcb container.

You will find that if this was the case by pulling the unit out of the kitchen the top will be water soaked or black mould marks on it.

If thats the case dont bother fitted new pcb it will fail again.

    this is a faulty code.

If my memory serves me well its a sensor related problem.

You can use any of the brandt frost free freezer pcb the only rule that you need to follow is the connections as they are a different way round.

The old uf95ff pcb was a reliable one the replacements mmmmmmmm.

Before I went over to refrigeration i used 2 feet off built in servis fridges to put between the counterbalance weight and outer drum its was the right size and because it was a plastic foot which was 6inches long gave enough room to use and by using 2 was the extra pair of hands you needed.

dont know if they have changed the spring coil clamp they used on fl828 ranges.
