Re: So how do I drain a hotpoint and not ruin the board?

When I say it pumps all the time, I mean it pumps until it eventually switches off and faults again. Just doesn’t refill. That’s exactly what I’ve told them. Give hotpoint a call!!!!
I’ll be honest, I’ve never managed to get the rest procedure to work. Luckily I’ve only come across 2 or 3 that have needed it. All the rest I could drain by syphoning.
Bloody ridiculous for such a simple fault!!!!!

Re: Bosch Dishwasher SMV50C00GB/03 Fault codes

Thanks for your help Tim. Yeah I’ve done lots of flow meters and pump on these and a couple of door locks but I was just wondering how you assertain the fault codes on these machines without it being a bit of guess work or trial and error.

    Re: Vehicle

As far as I was told by my accountant when I had an estate car for business, it wasn’t eligible for tax. It cannot be classed as a commercial vehicle. It can’t have back side windows, even though mine had been blacked out and covered in graphics.
Don’t hold me to it, it was just what I was told about 5 years ago, things may have changed. Hence why I now have gone back to a van and save a bit off my tax bill.

Thought as much. I try not to get involved if the top has to come off but it is an old customer and from memory it comes off quite easily. Think I’ll give it a go.
I know there was a thread about how far we could go with a gas oven but couldn’t just find it.
    Thanks for the info

Re: Alternative pump for Bosch washing machine wae24164gb/30

Because its not a bayonet square pump in the original. The one in question is a round pump with bayonet fit, very similar to the beko.
PMP230 is the bread and butter one that I stock that fits most of the 8/10 year plus machines.

Thanks for that. I was just hoping that somebody knew of an alternative pump and not a complete one with the body.

Tried everything bar checking the wiring. Never had broken wires in any Electrolux group dishwasher for years but I suppose theres always a first.
Has to be a pcbs fault, which is what I thought.

Thanks for your help Allsorts, appreciate it

I had exactly the same thing last week. Tried reset about 20 times until I thought I’d try with the other hand before I gave up and it worked first time.
Must be thicker skin on one hand. Who knows!!!

Is this a well known fault? I haven’t heard of a modification on this machine. Do you have the part numbers to hand.
    Cheers

    Re: I’M SURE LTD

Amazingly, I had a call from I’m sure this week asking if we could go and do a repair for them. I told them that I would need paying as and when the job is completed and they agreed. I was still a bit sceptical, but I arrived at the property, called them with a diagnosis and what the charges would be and they paid there and then by credit card.
So at the moment I cannot fault them and hopefully they’ll pass me through a bit more work.

Re: Is it just me or is anyone else quiet?

Just starting to see a bit of an upturn here in the North West. Lets hope its not a false dawn but it is picking up. Already full for Monday and a few in for the rest of the week.
I agree that the price of a new machine against the price of a repair is getting closer but its not an overnight thing, machines have been getting cheaper for the last 15 years and i’ve only just been quiet for the last couple of months.
