Participantwill one of the moderators lock this thread please
the samsung issue has been well documented, and, according to samsung, has been brought to a satisfactory conclusion
all we are now getting is clever people who think they can dredge up old and unnessecary posts
this should be the end of it

Participantjust make sure the fascai pcb hasnt slipped, and the buttons are locked
failing that, its the pcb
i tend to take the pcb off the fascia and see if it swirches on whilst its of to confirm

Participantive changed very few stats on vtd machines
grazza has a point.. as you all know, im a comet engineer, and ive been repairing them from day one
there are fixes, and if you do it right, by fitting the kit and a belt, you rarely go back!he has a point

ParticipantW R O N G !
the ‘exhaust sat’ is not a cycling stat
its designed to monitor the exhaust temperature, as a last resort if the cycling stat and one shot fail to operate correctly
its a one shot, your information is wrong and unfounded
please, if your gonna post things like that, ask the question first!
for reference, if the one shot stat pops regulrly, it may well be lack of airflow(blocked condenser/airways, faulty heater, or even a faulty timer.. sometimes its because the customer doesnt allow the coold down cycle on the timer

Participantits about time the let u all use servicenet, partfinders antiquated and useless
helo_75
Participantu did check the brushes, didnt you?

Participantdepends
the front does come off
you need to take off the lid, the fascia
2 screws top of panel, 2 at bottom
the drom suspension pins will come out if you depess the pip and pull out the pinun hook the door seal and remove the weights
the drum will then come outits not a bad job.. just time consuming, a spider isnt always necessary
theres 2 bearing kits as well, 35 and 30mm, ull need to measure the shaft size
much better machine than anything hotpoint churn out now, so well worth it
and id be writin the wiring down as wee, so you dont get caught out
and, of course, plug out!!!!
good luck
