helo_75
Participantthe capacitors duff
helo_75
Participantits more likely an airflow issue, or ud get an error code….id check the pump filter isnt partially bloced too. it could also not be spinning right well, they just havent noticed?

Participanterm, far be it from me to play devils advocate, but who says the heater shouldnt be on on reverse tumble?
cos, according to the service manual –
http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/903/switchin.png
a2-a3 (b3 b5) is the heater switching ( off for the last few clicks)
the only time the timer would be on is if it never switches the heater off
unless im reading it wrong that is?

Participanthttp://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Washing+ … eater.html
is what he changed
with the plug out, take the top off, and youll see it poking out of the heater box on top
best way is to check it with a meter for continuity. and if faulty, replace it
just make sure you unplug it , cos trust me, it hurts

Participantdid it and wrecked it..
no, far from it
IF you had a laptop with emit software installed, with the right cable, and a hardware key (only supplied by indesit, to their own engineers and comet )
AND an account that allows you to programme these things, then ur pretty much gonna find nothing out
however, if you want to pm me your email adress, ill send u the info, cos im that kind of guy
please try not to presume?
helo_75
Participantyes/ for software/no/no
dont go there
helo_75
Participantif u genuinly have checked for continuity , then youd know
and no, the element isnt independent of the stats
cos if they worked the way you say, it would set on fire
its usually the cut iout over the heater that goes

Participantwd40 is fine, but it will probaby want changing soon
helo_75
Participantyou did a continuity test on a thermistor?
people complain of poor wash results all the time, and its rarely a fault on the machine
however, if you are conviced its at fault and the heater and thermistor check out, it has to be a pcb issue.. it would be worth checking for dry joints around the relay areas

Participanttacho LOOKS good?
theres a good chance the pcb is faulty but u need to check the tacho and/or wiring with a meter
helo_75
Participantso even though its written all over the machine its a lie? im thinkin thats both illegal and incorrect
can we have a reasonably structured post that makes sense please?
