your supposed to go in from the front, remove everything, fit heater and rebuild….

    D O N T D O I T ! ! !

its one hell off a job

ive took to cutting the wires, and joining up with good quality, insulated heat resistant connectors, that can handle 13 amps

hope this helps, just be sure its unplugged, it’ll be live at all time, regardless of wether machines running or not!!!!

Re: Ariston drum bearings stuck to spider!

big of you that, isnt it

just recently, thees been some very maverick people posting in here

these people dont do it to patronise anybody, they do it because they like to offer advice and help people

i mean, is it really necessary to try and bring someones professionalism into disrepute?

Ive been repairing appliances 20 years now, and have tools i have found helpful to me in my day to day routine

Ive fitted more bearing kits than most, and ive never used locking compound on any bolts after refitting, and ive never ever found it necessary to add heat/cold to assist my repair

u made no reference to the fact that the bearings could have damaged the shaft, or the copper ring that completes the seal

oh no, u went straight for the kill, didnt you?

we always advise unplugging appliances, its something easily done, yet many forget.. none of us want serious injury or possible death on our conscience

    its common sense, not patronising

please play fair, its a friendly and helpful forum, please try and keep it that way

    thank you

yup, f8 is a heater relay fault

so its pcb AND eprom time

id check prices first, not the cheapest of repairs, and id still recommend getting someone in

    hope this helps

more than likely a system problem to be fair

call someone in to do a system check.. not something you can do yourself

well, if uve got the thermistor in your hand, u must know what it looks like?

so, isnt it as easy as locating the thermistor on the evaporator, and, erm.. following the wires back?

you really should be able to see it, inless theres so much ice its not visible

and i really hope uve unpluged it…………

Re: Blomberg Fridge/Freezer defrosting when full

    hmm, interesting one that

can i ask? when ur restocking, do you competely fill the freezer with fresh stuff?
are you aware that all manufacturers quote a limit on how much fresh food it will freeze effectively?

often, if its a frost free, and, as the freezer freezes by evaporation and condensation, too much fresh stuff can cause too much frost, therefore restricting air circulation, and seemingly appearing to defrost itself

of course, any number of reasons can cause this problem
, but if it works most of the time, it’ll most likely be the control pcb

    hope this helps
