Participantwhat penguin says is correct
its controlled by the main control board, and it aint cheap
you should never live test , either on or off the machine, but to clarify, running the pump on the machine, and running it off are 2 different things
just take some good advice and change the pump

Participantits more than likely a duff compressor
£140 – £160 Wouldnt be unreasonable given the wrork involved
except of course, the cost of the replacement

Participant08709 066 066
is the direct number
theyll repair the machine.. all parts included as p45 says for £99.85, and guarantee it for 3 months
theyll hassle you to death to pay upfront with your card, then take and extended warranty
poor attempt from a multi national company.. in effect youll be buying your machine twice… cant lose can they?

Participantwell, thats the answer then, the only real cure for that is a new drum if thats the case
but you can try packing the drum out with a couple of washers on the shaft
helo_75
Participantyoull need to take the condenser and heate rbox as well, since its a wd12
helo_75
Participantyep, about the right age
has is been noisy for some time?
helo_75
Participanthow old is it?
earllier models were prone to the drum rubbing through the back plate and cutting through the heater wiresif you look just above the motor, where the drum meets the back panel, youll be able to see if its cut through.. the wires run quite close to that point
however you look at it, itll be a heater fault

Participantput plenty of grease on AND spray with wd40?
i reckon that will last another month
they need changing, althought the new ones do require gresasinghelo_75
Participantyup, its an 8uf capacitor, situated next to the motor
side panel offits usually that
helo_75
Participantthat would only stop it heating
if youve changed the relay, then after checking the door switch wiring, it has to be a timer fault
helo_75
Participantonly if u like wasting time 😉
helo_75
Participantif the door locks and nothing else happens, its always a good idea to inspect the brushes
helo_75
Participantand he could tell the difference between a pressure vessel and a breather hose
for reference im an engineer, 21 years in the job
i asked, because your giving out what is in essence useless information
potentially dangerous too
please, will everyone remember to remove the plug at all times when investigating
