Stu1972 wrote:Thanks. I’ll try replacing the plug, and see how that goes. I’ve now tried the washer on 3 seperate wall sockets, with the same outcome, so I don’t think its the socket.
Thanks, and I’ll let you know how I get on.
Appreciated.

thats good, im suggesting the plug 1st, mainly because its gettin hot while its drawing current… thats usually a bad connection in the plug itself…a faulty element would, as a rule just blow the fuse/trip the switch the second the machine was plugged in, although its not impossible its faulty

Profyaffle wrote:Hi Stuart,
I think you’ll find that the problem is with the element in the Heater box and if you’re not electrical minded I’d recommend giving a trusted engineer a call. Try unplugging the machine and removing the lid. You’ll see the heater box on top with the terminals coming out. If they are close together just try wiggling them back and forward together if they do, then the weld has failed on the bracket resulting in the element going to earth. Replace element should do the trick, but you’ll need special screwdriver bits to complete.erm, u might want to re-read his initial post, about burned wires in the socket and the plug getting hot?

firstly, cut the plug back 3 inches and fit a good quality, 13amp plug
get yer socket checked as well, it may not be the machine thats at fault, it could be a faulty wall socket

the only reason i ask, is cos that number u have technically doesnt exist, it must have been superseeded, ifu can get the serial number, i will confirm the exact one u need!

ParticipantRe: PCB for a Candy CM1166-80
and why do u think the module is faulty?

ParticipantRe: PCB for a Candy CM1166-80
neither of thise numbers are correct for your machine
the correct number you need is
09200779
do you have the first 8 digits of ur serial number to make 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure

ParticipantRe: Doesn’t Fill… H/point WMD960 Fitted EMW Part But Diff
the problem lies with the fact that there are NINE versions of that machines, with very different pcbs and software variations, motor stacks and tubs
and it does matter
it actually sounds more like a software issue, if the pcb is the correct part, a reflash ( with the right variation of software dependent on commercial code via smartcard) or if your like me, u can download it off indesits website and flash it properly with my laptop
as with all current indeshit stuff, full industrial code and serial number is very important in identifying the correct parts
and theyre all changing again, VERY soon

it really could be either
i normally just change both to be surebut the good moneys on the anti boil switch rather than the analogic switch
please tell me u didnt blow up the pressure hose?
