ParticipantWith any Samsung washing machine that is stopping randomly it typically tends to be module failure.

ParticipantThis seems to be a common issue on Samsungs and tend to be caused by the main module – if you listen carefully at the time of failure you will usually hear a slightly louder click than normal as all the relays turn off, sometimes it will also throw a 5E error.

ParticipantWith all the Beko dishwashers you need to check for broken wires in the door loom – I did a similar machine today with the same fault symptoms that turned out to be broken wires in the door hinge.

ParticipantInteresting – I hadn’t even considered that idea.

ParticipantIs this happening with a full load of wet washing in it? It sounds like it thinks the washing is dry and is automatically shortnening the program.
I would be double checking airflow and that It could be a faulty sensor before I called the board.Jem

ParticipantAssuming that it is a full oven mode that you have selected and not one with bottom only heat then I can only assume that it is a selector switch at fault.

ParticipantIt seems to be the norm now, the quickest response that i have had to the simplest of a queries (have you shipped my parcel and when?) took 3 working days by which time it had arived (5 days late), the only quicker response was from my account manager when I asked if they were going to reopen after the pandemic when she told me that they wouldn’t be suppling me any more.
Its a pity as they used to be my first port of call for parts and their customer service and technical teams were great but now I can no longer count them as a supplier because I don’t spend enough with them and they can’t be bothered to talk to you.Jem

ParticipantThe one on the side of the motor is usually used for signalling that there is water flow through the element, it usually has a no pressure output and a high pressure output.
Thinking about it (don’t know if it helps or is just a red herring) – I had one machine with the round switch which had an earth leak on it which cause it to take out one resistor on the PCB, I replaced the resistor and the switch and all was well.Jem

ParticipantI either use a heat gun or just rub the shaft of the soldering iron against it, just keep the iron moving and it won’t be a problem but you will need some quite small heatshrink to begin with as they are very thin wires.

ParticipantAt the time the harness was ou of stock so I managed to ease a bit of slack into the hinge and then used solder and heatshrink to reconnect them.

ParticipantWhat make/model is the old regulator?
I think that P1 and S1 will need to be linked but you may need to double check that.Jem

ParticipantCheck the door switch and as I think that this is one with the main module in the bottom of the machine then also check all of the wiring in the door hinge, you may need to give each wire a good tug as I had a similar machine where 7 out of 15 of the wires in the door hinge had broken inside the sleeving which meant that they looked intact but wernt.

ParticipantDid the old pressure switch have a hose? the parts list and line drawings suggest not – if the drawings are right then I would put it back to how it was but with the new switch.
Does the wash pump meter out okay and can you turn it by hand?
I have had one of this series machines where the board nucked itself causing a similar issue – it may be worth a visual inspection for burn marks (I know….its a pain having to pull it out to get to the module).Jem

ParticipantNo idea, I didn’t bother asking any further as I tended to be just below the 4K, Also their customer service has gone completly down the pan now they have gone to an email only system.
I doubt that I will be bothering with their new website as for the few common bits that i looked at it is far more expensive that what I pay through any of the other suppliers.Jem

ParticipantI emailed Qualtex today to ask what the situation is and here is the response that I got
Thank you for your email…
Qualtex now have a spend criteria – if you can spend 4k per year we will re-open your account – if this is not possible you can buy all of our spares from
https://www.partscentre.co.uk/So it looks like we can cross them off the list as a trade supplier.
