If the agitator is correctly fitted to the shaft (not loose and still has its splines etc) then you will need to strip down the gearbox to find out what has broken.
I haven’t seen this fault myself but here is some info that may help.
The agitate gear slides up and down the agitate shaft to engage and disengage the agitate action – it should be pushed down the shaft by a spring (the spring has a washer and cir clip holding it in position at the top), there is a cam and cam follower under the agitate gear that raise and lower it depending on which position the cam is in.
The cam is operated by the “shift actuator” which is situated under the rack and looks like a pincer. You will have to strip it down to see what has failed but my guess (and it is a while since I have had to strip one of these boxes) is that the plastic cam or the spring has failed.

P.S. Don’t forget that the gearbox is filled with oil.

ParticipantRe: Lamona washing machine door issue
They always have a bit of flop to them, as long as the plate is screwed up tight and the door frame is unbroken then its fine, if memory serves me right then it will be a couple of broken lugs in the door lock, replace the lock and all should be fine.

Sounds like he has forced the door open and has broken the door lock in the process, there is no spring on the pecker itself as it is the door lock that moves out of the way to allow the machine to open.

ParticipantRe: Qualtex
I was told a couple of weeks ago that Qualtex was not ordering specials from Beko as they were taking an exceptionally long time to come. Everything else that I have specialed with them recently has come in a reasonable time.

ParticipantRe: Beko CDA539FW-2 Thermistor Values
I got caught out with this one originally because the print on the label has been done so badly that it was impossible to tell that it was a -2 variant so went armed with the listed thermostat and then got a surprise when I tried to change it.

Or ask EMW to do it.

Sounds like a shorted Triac on the PCB.

The brake should only affect the spinning of the drum not the agitation of the agitator.
Draw a line on the side of the clutch to make it easier to see if it is moving.
It is also worth checking for jammed washing between tub and drum as that will stop it spinning.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool Toploader 3rlsq8000
Does the drum rotate when it goes into spin?
Is it happy when doing the wash cycle? I.e. agitator twisting back and forth with drum staying still.
Are the drum brakes releasing properly, if not then they could be the cause of smoke.
Is the motor getting red hot?
You should be able to run the machine with the cabinet off, this will let you see where the smoke is coming from.

Yes try activating the anti flood switch as it may then clear the unknown fault from memory.

ParticipantRe: electrolux ekt 6045x no elements working
According to the diagrams the hobs are effectively a separate appliance with their own control and power PCBs which means that we can ignore them.
I take if from what you are saying that the lower oven works fine and that it is just the top oven that has failed.
The elements share a common live connection to each other which comes through a 180C thermal cut out from BF6 on the PCB (this is controlled by one relay).
The neutrals for the elements are individually switched by relays on the PCB, the neutral connection to the PCB is fed in on BF3 (a different connection to the one for the main oven).
Have you checked the PCB for dry joints? It would be strange for 3 relays to fail at once.
If you have checked that the wiring is as stated above and the PCB joints look good then I would double check the sensor.
The top oven sensor is the same type as the one for the main oven so it may be worth quickly swapping them to confirm that it is not a sensor issue.
If none of the above works then I can’t help you any further without photos as that is as deep as the diagrams go.

ParticipantRe: electrolux ekt 6045x no elements working
I don’t know the unit so am working off of the diagrams here.
Do you have a neutral to BR7 on the PCB?
If the unit had reversed polarity to the diagram I would suggest a relay failure to BR1/BR2 or blown cut out.
From the diagram it appears to be a double oven, does either oven work, what about motors and lights?
Can you post a decent quality photo of each side of the PCB (I would like to be able to read the writing) in which case I may be able to give you a couple more pointers.
