Sounds like it is 3 + 4, or NTC fault, I think they only use one bank of neons for error codes. it could just be bad connections on the PCB or the PCB itself. These machines with Indesit electronics are a complete PITA to say the least. 😥

Its much better if you give us the neons by number from the left, or top to bottom. You may even be able to check them yourself in the Known Error Codes thread, look at the WIDL codes posted by Dave Conway, page #3 I think.

Re: hoover washer dryer cuts out

I had one that kept tripping the reset stats, even fitted a higher rated Hotpoint TOC as a test. It was a Candy produced machine about 2 years old. Eventually had to change the dryer fan motor, even though it apppeared to run perfectly. It must have been seizing after getting hot because it cured the fault instantly.

    Re: Hotpoint CTD80 drier – fault F09

All Hotpoint appliances have had a five year parts warranty for well over 25 years now, the dealers will rarely advise you of this, it makes their job of stitching you up with an overpriced maintenance contract easier. 😥

    Some interesting reading for you.

    Re: hotpoint condenser

It should come with full instructions, it is fairly simple if a bit fiddly to do.

Alternative is a 1703723 conversion kit, possibly has a different front duct seal, the bits at the back and the pads are the same.

    Re: Hotpoint CTD80 drier – fault F09

F09 is supposed to be a fault in the electronics. ‘Error set up file’ May need complete module. There has been a longstanding problem with the drums catching. A very recent modification to the drum shape as well as a thicker rear seal is supposed to cure this. All your parts will be covered by 5 year warranty, you will only have to pay the modest 😥 £90.00 labour charge.

This kit has been available for some time, make sure you fit the new rear felt seal ( its thicker ) and put one or two washers between the back of the cabinet and the drum, kit includes the old style, reliable bearing pads, I think its called progress. 😥

    Part number 1703080.

    Re: Hotpoint TDC60

You have to use the correct electrical test equipment to check it, it can sometimes fail intermittantly so it may appear to be fine when cold, this is also true of the stats above the heater. There could also be a fault in the timer, not common but it does happen.

Part number for door stat is 1701575, an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should do the trick.

It does list a module fault as a possible cause of this error message as well. 😥

I have been to several older Hotpoint machines today, the WM22 is almost identical to your machine.

There is another thermostat, hidden inside the upper door frame that can cause this, plug out if you intend to have a look.

I usually use a 1701662 kit, comes with bearing, pin and even a bracket and pop rivets.
