    Re: Ariston avl 145

Do you mean an Ariston AVL147, which two neons are flashing ?

Doubtful if you need to reset the computer. It sounds as though you have a pump or sump hose blockage, or failed pump, more likely to be the former due to the age of the machine.

Not the easiest pump to access, follow the grey plastic hose to locate pump. Please remove the plug at all times.

Element just arrived, original Hotpoint/Creda label is a 6203423. This has been inked out and changed to 6224761 and I have been invoiced accordingly 👿 .

Needless to say one annoyed phone call later and I have been promised a refund.

    Jim.

NB. it was not sourced from Masterpart. 😉

Hi libbie, which indicator light is flashing, is it the prewash neon?
If so that indicates a flooded base. Your machine may have an internal leak or may have overflowed due to using 3 in 1 or 4 in 1 tablets plus additional rinse aid.

If you pull the machine forward, UNPLUG, then place a few towels on the floor and tilt the machine, either backwards or to one side, you will almost certainly get water running out from underneath. If the dishwasher then works you will need to keep a close eye on it. You should try to use separate detergent and rinse aid, also add salt if your mains water is anything other than very soft. If the fault re occurs then you could have a leak and the dishwasher will require remedial attention.

Please remove the plug if you intend to open up, or click on the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help you.

    Jim.

Re: Hoover Ecologic Washer Drier Flooding Problem

The three levels are for different wash programmes, the higher levels are for woollens and rinse programmes.
If the pressure switch is operating correctly then it should isolate the fill valves when it trips. The only way to test the three levels is with a circuit tester or multimeter. Pressure switches do fail although not that often.
Some parts for this machine are becoming hard to get and to be honest, if the fault was in the control timer, your money would be more wisely invested in a replacement. The timer is well over £100.00 The pressure switch is not that expensive, should it turn out to be at fault.

We do not advise, live testing, the pressure switch can be checked without the machine being plugged in, please take care.

Re: Error codes needed for Ariston A1636

Lights 3+4 flashing is NTC short/open circuit: Check thermistor & module connections. Error code F03, same as the Indesit WIDL codes.
Basically same as WF models, the module is a PITA to get out of the WMA type, tiny back panel. 😥

buttons are labelled Rinse Hold & Time Saver on Hotpoint variant.

The timer was turned 90° so that the wiring is underneath instead of at the side. I once had one of these that had been cobbled together from several different machines by some cowboy and bought by Social Services for a ‘Care in the Community’ house. No serial number on the new door trim. wrong control panel facia and no other ID. I finished up with three different knobs before I found the correct one. 😥

Re: Creda Europa Solarplus dial lights

There doesn’t appear to be a fluorescent lamp, but separate neons for each control on the E430, R530 etc.

It looks like the unit needs removing from its housing and accessing from the top. Please isolate from mains if you intend to proceed or click on the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help.
