definately worth getting repaired owing to the fact its been moved there’s a good possibility one of the multi plugs may have been tugged off the pcb….

sounds like the wee transistor on the pcb may have blown so not carrying the load. If you look on the top left hand side of the board there’s a wee group of 4 of them I think they control the valves and the pump component numbers Q10, Q11, Q12 AND Q13 .I cant remember which is which but the location of the pump feed wires will show you

the only one i’ve ever seen was in the hotpoint training school which they had ” removed for investigation ” pdq I’d have thought. It was one of the economy inde’s with the green decals. The soap box breather was squirting into the power module behind the control panel…funnily enough never heard any more about that fault….

    Re: John Lewis JLWM1407…E52

Could be a dry joint on either one of the motor relays or the triac on the pcb Jim or possibly a wire going into the motor plug on the verge of breaking but still making contact till shaken by spin, give all the motor plug wires a wee tug, have found them come adrift a few times. As far as I can remember the sole motor had a one hit fuse on the stator so it wouldnt reset itself.

theres a possibility of the motor being heavily carboned causing a weak field to be generated as the insulation between armature segments is being greatly reduced by the conductive carbon dust.If the motor turns empty I would say its far more likely to be a motor fault than a PCB fault.

Many thanks to iadom however the customer had blew the bottom off the pcb trying to fit the wrong element so unless i can dig up a working used power pcb its scrap.

Re: Hygena Dishwasher model ahy 8122 not fillinf with water.

try resetting the aqua lock on the fill valve by…turning off the water going to the dishwasher, screw off the hose at the dishwasher side, turn on the machine and set to a wash cycle, wait till you here the valve buzz which means its energized and open, wait a couple of mins with the power on which will allow the aqua stop to drain out the valve. turn power off. reconnect water hose, put dishwasher back on to a wash cycle , again wait till you you hear the valve buzz at which point gradually open the water supply tap to the dishwasher and you should hear it fill.

    Re: Hotpoint WDD960 being fixed

there’s a good chance given its age it’s a sealed or welded tub as they’re known in which case its a single unit replacement full tub outer and inner front back the lot comes in one piece and simply replaced. As its hotpoint your getting the engineers carry a whack of parts and its highly unlikely they’ll BER it as repairing it is almost always cheaper. I went to one while working for hotpoint the tub had jumped its mount smashed the door and caved in the side of the cabinet, they still told me to order all the bits and rebuild it…..

Re: Zanussi Electrolux 1500 Aquacycle 5Kg Problem

The belt coming off would suggest either drum bearing wear causing the pulley to ” wobble” throwing off the belt or alternativly the main pcb has developed a fault causing the motor to surge and slip off the belt due to the fact your pcb seems to now be in error mode it would suggest this is more likely . On this occasion I would recommend you call an engineer to have a look and access the machines on board diagnostic in order to narrow down the fault, it might cost you a min charge call out but save you a lot of heartache in the long run…. sorry its not an easy one….
