Re: Hotpoint WT721 whole display kept flashing

Welcome to the complicated world of Inde£${e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}t, WT721/1 screwed drum requires eeprom part n/o 1605723 or smart card C00268009, the WT721/2 welded drum FHP motor you require eeprom C00195434 or smart card C000268011, if it is a Ceset motor it is eeprom C00196858 and smart card C00286013, F18 is 3 phase motor fault, as it is not a 3 phase machine i would guess it has the wrong programe for that machine, screwed drums spin clockwise and welded anticlockwise i hope this helps, i’m starting to get confused myself now cheersJJ.

If it is a date code 93 i would reckon its a dead cert it is 35mm bearings, as jim says about the susp pegs they can come out if you use the old ones, but if you get a small cable tie and hook it behind the barb works a treat mind you any poor sod trying to get them out after you has a nightmare until they twig.

What was the original fault, if it still has the original fault it wont programe also did you also swap over the edge connector on the side some have resistor some just have a couple of thin wires coming from them, these determine which appliance it is if it is missing it wont come out the test mode,JJ

Was there today heater is okay no earth faults resistance okay, prev engineer replaced door seal for leaking and replaced terminal on heater wire, it had been leaking for sometime as it was in a garage, i had a look at the module and it looks like all that lovely water peeing down onto the heater terminlas has done for it. Check that the Tacho wires are not chaffing on the motor body, if they are yellow wires its a good bet i always used to cable tie them to the brush wire alongside, they used to cause overheating and spin problems JJ

How was it transported, i’ve had a couple of new ones throw up this fault, when switched on, found an airlock in the pressure hose blew through the hose and it cured it, i reckon it was caused by being transported and laying on the R H side causing water to run from the sump up the pressure hose and cause an airlock.
