Just out of interest, is it the FHP motor? Have been having same sounding problem with an AEG.
And new info has just come in while I was writing this post!

😕 Replaced both relays yesterday and can’t now remember for sure if it faulted again after that! Wasn’t able to get close look at joints because had forgotten magnifying glass. :rolls: Now you’ve set my mind a wonderin’.
Will ring them tomorrow and get them to hold off for a day or two on the Bosch till tenants have given machine another thrashing test.

Hell, DIYnot.com? Is this what I have to look forward to when I retire? Squabbling with some prigs who say it’s “bad practice” to do this or that?
I think you’ll find the ulterior motive behind, “it’s bad practice” is very often, though they will never admit it, “I’ll get more money out of the job this way.”

Well, I went back and meggered the machine with motor well warmed up (helped a bit with my paint stripper gun 🙂 ) and it had gone down to 28M which seemed to be the point at which it packed in. Decided that replacement motor would have a good chance of sorting it and lined a good one up on Ebay for £40 delivered then rang customer.
She was one of those sort of people who doesn’t trust anything secondhand and has decided that £400 on a new Bosch is better than £200 or so for a new motor. I didn’t waste my breath trying to persuade her otherwise as I knew that if something else subsequently went wrong with the machine I might be held to have given poor advice.
I’ll get my labour paid anyway so it’s no big deal for me. Just would have liked to have been able to say that I had cracked an E52. Never mind, tomorrow is another day.

Good point. You could well be right. I only meggered whole machine at cold and 150M was from memory, might have been 350 (must remember to record these things). Had been thinking along lines of motor internal toc. Will wait and see if it reoccurs as pulled, checked and squeezed up all connectors in the hope.
Thanks for clearing up my confusion about test programme too.

You need a bigger screen Mike, definitely laminate, you can see the joins in the ends of the panels.
Jim.
I’ve seen vinyl with a design like that. If that is real wood, how do you account for the shape of the hole? Wood splits, doesn’t it? Well, it does when I take an axe to it anyway. Never managed to damage a wood floor yet but there’s always this afternoon.
Good to have a reminder like this once in a while – reminds us to be careful. Not suggesting that raw wasn’t careful!

The one time (well it was twice actually in one year IIRC, just little knocks) I ever claimed anything on my car insurance I ended up paying just as much or more in increased premiums over the following few years 👿 as I would have had to pay had I just paid the garage myself.

No, it’s a long rectangular plastic thing about 30mm x 10mm x 20mm height. Yellow, blue or grey probably. No sign of damage but will be much less uF than printed on the side (1 or 1.5) even when measured in circuit.

Strangely, that one was still going fine a month or two ago when I had to go back and do the door wiring on it.
Have also since had this cause faults on Indy DW Bit whatever it is board.

Not necessarily. As the service manual said. 😉
Thanks for the reminder about early nights. I had a couple a week ago when I was a bit down. Feel much better for it.

That’s a “Prima” LPR600 is it not?
All of those that I have seen have been Whirlpool in a skirt and with the crap Askoll circulation motors usually.

If it’s neither of those, it may the heater relay.

ParticipantRe: Hoover DYN10146P W/M Electronics?
Had similar thing happen once with a Nextra. They’re a total PITA for that. If anything other than a cheapie selector switch, heater element, brushes, door hinge or other common or garden problem with them, you’re best off walking away early 🙁 . That’s my opinion.
If it must be repaired, you’re probably going to need motor plus module. Worth checking Ebay for s/hand motor depending on how long these models have been around. Have also had motor plug connector drop loose from the bracket causing wires to rub against motor body and short out on Hoover.
