ParticipantRe: Has this site been mentioned on here before ?
That’s a coincidence. I came across the same site the other day when surfing around for camcorder repair info. (Maybe I need better training on using a search engine 😕 ) I thought the info. about who it was looked a bit hidden but I did think the diagrams looked quite well drawn despite some of them being older models. I clocked all the same warning signs as have already been mentioned and bookmarked it thinking about posting it here for comments. The fact that two of us found it suggests it might be getting some traffic.

I think there’s something about these modules “learning” from previous washes and you have to do something to reset them when they get damaged but I could be getting it wrong. Sure a Bosch expert will be back soon.

Often pcb can be repaired without too much trouble. See the sticky on simple pcb repairs.

You’ve no doubt set yourself up for a frustrating Saturday morning there. Friends and relatives always have strange faults on their machines. 😆

Yorkshire Rat Club? 😕 Does every county have a Rat Club? What on earth do they get up to?

ParticipantRe: beko wmc61 motor values
Have got a five year old Beko motor out in shed somewhere. Could hoik it out and have a look for you perhaps over the weekend.
But TBH it would be more help if you just told us about the fault on the machine. Washing machine brush motors for the most part have a very low resistance through the field coil(s)(say 1 to 3 ohms) and a slightly higher resistance through the brush gear (say 2 to 6 ohms). The tacho coil can be anything from 10 ohms to 1600+ ohms depending on make and model. With all of it, they are very rarely “out” IME. It’s either yae or nae. And sometimes it can be yae but there’s a leakage to earth – usually via the armature. Tacho – if it’s not open circuit and it gives a volt or two when you spin the motor by hand, then it’s near certainly OK.

Sorry, must have misunderstood your question. Why didn’t you just get on with the job then?

Connect have for your model, “Panel:Control-facia ADG7440W (5045170785260)”
Cannot tell from picture if there’s actually a pcb inside that plastic housing, but one would hope so for the price.

It reminded me of Koyaanisqatsi. (Put your headphones on.)

“It’s primary use is to test capacitors for series resistance while they are installed on printed circuit boards”
That’s what it says just under the picture.
At the bottom of the page it gives a link to purchase. $80 to UK. 😐

ParticipantRe: Miele WS5426
Seme used to do some Miele stuff so I looked up seals in their old catalogue and they list three different seals:
28×42/52×13
30×53/60×10/13
35x76x10/14 (oem pt no. 1751620)
But no info as to what models they fit.

Connect suggests “alternative”
“Bearing laundry W806 (5031689277020)

SRP: £145.75
Miele

£117.84This product is non returnable.
Out of Stock”Not encouraging. How old is this model?
I’d love to have an opportunity to do a job like that. Almost certain to be a much cheaper and just as good way round it. I’d open it up and then see what http://www.simplybearings.co.uk can offer. The seal will be the most difficult part probably.

Seem to remember that heater element / or burnt terminal to it, can also cause this; may be wrong.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool AWM8163
Done one or two many years ago on old Hoover boards, Logic etc.
Not sure whether “triac fault” means exactly what it says with these new electronics. Could be just a wire loose in the motor plug or something.
Anyway, motor triac should be easy to spot – it’ll be the big one which is clipped, bolted or riveted to the large heatsink. But if it’s gone / shorted / open / exploded / pfft! or however, then it’s normally something in the motor itself or wiring to, that has caused it. And of course, neighbouring components will need checking.

Hmm. Can see a few people having to do every thirteenth wash twice. It’s just the cynic in me.
