    379 26 33-00/4 pcb assembly drying £41.70 direct from lux.co.uk
Not saying that’s what’s wrong though.

Never mind the model. “Bosch sensor dry” (tick all terms box), select trade tech enq. gets 16 results. Probably some clues there. (Martin seems to know them well .)

Is there a timed cycle on the machine and if so, does that work?
Need to check continuity through sensor before blaming module.

    Laldy?:?
Anyway, don’t listen to Martin, just megger the dryer element and if it’s below forty megohms insulation resistance, disconnect it and try machine again. Or don’t even bother with the meggering, just disconnect and try.

Certainly sounds like board problem :rolls: . Could be worth trying the 10uf capacitor trick,….. maybe.
See first post in “Simple PCB repairs tips” sticky at head of forum.
Or, second thoughts, could be one or more tactile switches gone wonky on board. Is it in a damp environment?
    Mike.

Re: Zanussi ZWD 16270 W ends cycle early and releases door.

When Martin mentions earth leaks on dryer elements he means anything below FORTY MEGOHMS. (Not what would normally be considered a significant earth leak. Won’t stop dryer working normally!) Thus it is written in the service manual if you can find it. And it has been the source of much grief. Disconnect element and see if washer will then work normally.

I guess the ad must be working subliminally. That Martin he’s sneaky clever!
Either that or the parishoners all have microfiche readers. 😆

Mike, you missed out double-sided sticky tape, cling film, bottle brush, stirrup pump and various sizes of Jubilee clips….absolutely vital on jobs like this I reckon. 🙂
Sorry, I thought everyone carried those anyway in the frontline toolbag. 😛

Your hypothesis appeared while I was writing my post so I hadn’t taken it into consideration. I have no idea how the moisture gets into an element. You could be right about the weld. I was wondering if water vapour could somehow get through the metal, perhaps through invisible microscopic fissures formed during bending for example.

    Re: Zanussi ZWF12070W1 Dead

I’m sure I’ve read here somewhere about these dead Electrolux products being caused by user switching off during spin, too. Also lightning damage. So don’t automatically blame door lock. One thing’s for sure, I wouldn’t risk much of my money on a new pcb. Likelihood of it going again is too high.

    Re: bosch was28466gb/01

How far away is the job? I’d suggest taking along a small selection of standard pumps, both screw and bayonet fit and some silicone sealant, some epoxy putty, some cable ties, some green gardening wire, some self tappers, some speednuts…you get the picture. One word of caution. If the old pump has a toc, make sure the replacement does too.
Anyway, it’s just as likely a coin acting as a flap valve.

£45.52 retail at Bosch. Still expensive. Can’t find a pic anywhere except for cartoon on Bsh site but would have thought something else would fit to the filter.
