RT314024 is the one that goes on Hpt/Bsh drier modules. There’s also a couple of RT114024’s on them. Good ones to have in stock. Farnell sell them in singles.

Just put some H2O in the bottom, link up a separate three core lead with amp tags to the element and power it directly. Presumably you’ve already meggered everything so you know the insulation’s OK. You could even use an energy monitor or clamp meter to check it’s drawing a realistic current.

They’re just as thin as any Hotpoint spider. Can you feel any front to back give? Or see any wobble on the lip at high speed spin? Straightforward – like doing a WMA more or less, and folks don’t usually mind shelling out because they paid a fair bit for it in the first place.

That sounds possible. Could even be someone had a go before you got there, and customer neglected to mention it :rolls: .

Didn’t know EMW were still doing dishwashers. I bet they don’t have a 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} success rate on them!
That pressure chamber has two three tag switches on it. It’s quite easy to push the connector on the wrong two tags of one of them IIRC. Or the microswitch could be duff?
Heater you could test separately on a flying lead to make sure it’s got no issues. Usually the relay joints / contacts just burn out because they’re at their rated limit (10A).

What is the state of the pressure tube? Has it been rubbing on anything, causing a tiddly little hole which is insufficient to cause a problem until the higher pressure of high water level opens it? I’ve never had that but it sounds good, doesn’t it?

Flattery will get you lots of places 😆 .
But I wouldn’t enter unless I got the five call out charges up front, as I don’t work well with people watching 😆 .

What kind of system does this model have for sensing that filling is complete?

Probably going to be the usual ntc with two orange wires in the condenser to tub hose. Wires get broken, possibly appearing intact until you tug them.

Maybe it’s throwing an “Electrolux” = valve coil going open when it warms up.

Turned out to be a 30mm machine. First one I’ve come across. So I’ve had to order a different kit. Still curious about which makes and markings are on genuine bearings.
But hey! Look the site has suddenly gone super fast!

No, I think it’s doing a quick, quick, sloooow, quick, quick, slooow. You have to catch it at the right moment. They must be experimenting with connecting & disconnecting various wires 😆 .
