Masterpart do some pattern ones. I think ML51101 may fit but you’ll probably need to shift something around, possibly have to move the field coil 180 degrees. Or extend pump wiring to reach. Bit of a faff but it’s £20 not £90. Also, I’m not sure it has a toc. but it does have an earth terminal where the original doesn’t.

They still have a few bits and pieces but you can’t find them by browsing, or I can’t, even though I’ve got an account. Only way is to find out OEM part number and put that in their search box.

Masterpart do a pair of pattern ones for about £6 each. I got two and they were both off the scale.

Picked up phone yesterday and heard a recorded message from some prat providing “psychic services”. Let it play out to use up their phone bill as much as possible, not pressing button 1 when asked to do so, but it cut out automatically after a few seconds. 👿
Have ordered new caller display to replace my busted one.

Don’t mind too much, as long as it’s not Wally 😆 .
I did inherit the inventiveness. My old man got second in a Daily Mirror invention competition in the 1950’s for a mod to carburettor to make it more fuel efficient. Nobody was interested in it commercially at the time though :rolls: .

Don’t know how to get fault code from that but whenever one of these stops mid cycle I’m looking for an insulation fault (<40M) around heater.

Do a search on this problem within this forum and you should find plenty of results. Especially if you widen it out to Lux & Zanussi. It’ll either be an insulation “fault” (motor or heater below 40M) or damp leading to same, or a cooked board probably due to lock failure.

    Re: Whirlpool AWM5125/5

I think that’s a fairly old machine. Would think it’s likely just to be intermittent pump / blockage or brushes. I can’t recall reading too much on here about Whirlpool washing machines with fault codes.

Re: LG tumble dryer TDC70045E displaying EHE. Intermittent.

Thanks. I was thinking more of motor capacitor. Apparently, from what I’ve read on here, they’re a bit under-rated on these and an original 8uF should be replaced by a 10uF. But is EHE code anything to do with that? My intuition would be that it stood for a heating sensor getting a wrong signal. But come to think of it, a stalled motor could cause that.

Just seen your post, rolf. Thanks for that. Don’t have a hairdryer but will take my paintstripper and hold it at a distance.

And don’t forget to check for insulation below 40 megohm on heater (s) or condensation on brush holders.
