If it’s same as late Zanussi, check integrity of thin orange wires connected to thermistor in condenser to tub hose down on the right.

    Re: beko spares

There’s a whole load of models listed there for that kit. Have you tried cross referencing?
Here you go. WM1210. Connect is the place for Beko. > Mediator > WM1210 > search for “bearing” > BRG9107 + see alternatives. Sorry no genuine part numbers found. Now if you have a model WMA510S (and you’ve yet to confirm that) then those parts should fit.

    Re: New Speed Cameras

I think an average speed system sounds fairer. Occasionally exceeding the limit over a small distance on a few metres of road could catch anyone. An average system would only catch people with a heavy throttle foot.

Re: Local Government Calls For Producers To Collect

Won’t be easy to get money from manufacturers who supply global markets, to finance collection schemes in certain countries. That will involve a lot of fiddly administration with plenty of opportunities for money getting mis-directed (to Swiss bank accounts.)

Re: Weird Pressure switch fault (continuous filling)

I think you mean the “analogic” type, a popular topic of conversation in fault queries on this board. I think they’re fairly reliable but you can destroy them by blowing into them apparently.

Sounds a bit unlikely. Are you sure you got the right part?

Not necessarily. That’s what you find in a cheap and cheerless dishwasher from China. I did a couple similar branded as Hoover.
The flow meter as you described is also a common feature (and source of breakdowns) on Whirlpool (& clones) and Bosch (& clones) dishwashers.

Maybe you could use bits from this one (only has two terminals) to re-build the old one? Out of stock though.

in reply to: Oven not tripping RCD #343289

    Re: Oven not tripping RCD

I did once ask on here how low an appliance has to go to activate the trip and I calculated 8000 ohms (30ma / 240v) using Ohms law. No one answered to confirm, so I guess no-one really knows.
1 megohm is the safety limit. It has to be well above what will actually cause a trip situation to allow plenty of margin. And still not all dwellings have trips so you’d need 30+ amps of fault current and some, to flow to protect you in those situations! So that’s why the earth’s so important.
Ask Martin to give you lots more info. 😀

in reply to: Baumatic BDW15 Dishwasher #342855

    Re: Baumatic BDW15 Dishwasher

Looked up Baumatic p/switches on Connect and only saw conventional ones including an oval one with two tags. Anyway, can’t envisage an analogic switch getting a direct live feed.
Looking over your first post again, I can’t see that you could activate the p/sw by blowing without getting the tube off. Water would then be able to flow out of the p/vessel, into the base activating the f/p sw and voila! E4.
Was it taking too long to fill? How long? Is water pressure too low, or inlet valve filter clogged?
I’m feeling round in the dark here as I don’t recall ever having seen a Baumatic machine of any description but I believe they’re a bit like low budget Indesit.

    Tactile switch. Probably surface mount.
Take your pick or get them off ebay if you can’t be bothered to set up an account with RS.

Can’t see a pattern equivalent anywhere but elementman’s got a genuine at £34.50 incl vat and carriage.
