General profit margins on whites (mid/top range) is 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, i’d expect there to be practically nothing in cheaper end.

Just for the fellow engineers here, the model is IS60v, and from my limited knowledge, i’d check the start relay 😉

This is the 3rd Zanussi post i’ve seen in about as many weeks, allowing the door to be opened when the machine is running!

    Not good.

Many of the cheaper LG’s are still H/C fill.

    What are you on about?

Washing Machines/Dishwasher/Friges/Ice makers etc especially have to be PA tested in commercial premises regularly. Health and safety at work and all that good stuff. 😉

And no way does PA testing cause faults on a machine that weren’t already there in the first place. Hence it would show on the Inspection report!

    Sorry Martin,

Just going off my experience when it came to desktop CAM stuff, which, every single time (we had four portable machines), failed PAT test and never worked again.

All perfectly fine after PCB replaced, but, for some reason, a PAT test blew them!

Assumed it might be similar, but, hey ho…

You can get a Miele Premier 520 for that price, no delay time, but otherwise a very good machine.

Both the three or five year warranties where i work are much cheaper than Hotpoint’s £90 labour charge!

Hardly what i’d call a stitch up.

In my experience, customers come and buy an Indesit at £200, and come back 2yrs later and buy another Indesit, and so on.

Why? Why do they do this?

I think if you check with the manager of the store in question, those machines are classed as ‘showroom models only, not for re-sale’.

So are these standard, working machines just without a plug?
