Or invest in a mini grinder & cut a few slots… then bash it to hell with a hammer & chisel.. remember your eye (and ear 😯 ) protection though πŸ˜‰

Yep, i think that just about sums it up Ken, the legislation was surely targeted at pushy double glazing/kitchen salesmen ,cowboy roofers/driveway contractors & the like.. we’ve got caught in the xfire :rolls:
The TS lass i talked to basically admitted it was a scattergun piece of legislation & they were finding it a bit of a headache too.

I must admit i’ve been totally ignoring it & continue to do so, i suspect i’m not alone πŸ˜‰

We were changing lots of Elements in that region as they had them on at 240 degrees for that period of time. :rolls:

    Re: TV repair!

I do find it shocking how unreliable many flat screen tv’s seem to be, know tons of people who have had problems with theirs at 2 or 3 yrs.
After much research i bought a Panasonic Plasma to replace our 10 yr CRT (never had the back off it) the first panny lasted 28 days before flashing a fault code at me & totally refusing to come on 😯

Comet 😯 to their credit wrote it off & gave me a refund, bought the next mod up the panny range from Dixons & so far so good 😯

Might be a good game to get into though, this telly repair lark.. be nice to get a couple of hundred for the average job instead of pleading for a quarter of that to repair white goods.. if you’re lucky :rolls:

yup, preserving the existing equitorial forests should be our main goal, yet everything we do in the west seems to work against that πŸ™ How many of us have hardwood garden furniture sitting in our garage.. do we REALLY know it has come from a sustainable source? Theres so much corruption / poverty in a lot of the countries these hardwoods are sourced i dont believe a word of it.Just stick a ‘planet friendly’ label on any old lump of Mahogany & Bobs yer uncle :rolls:

We cant even eat a bloody Biscuit with a clear conscience cos the greedy manufacturers choose to maximize profits by using palm oil πŸ™
I dunno, its all too depressing.. think i’ll go out & buy a V8 Range Rover, book 5 foreign holidays for next year & turn the central heating to MAXXX!! 😯
