In any event you will need an electrician to provide a dedicated supply to your oven. “Lifting floors” is very unlikely in any case. Oven cables usually come down the wall not up and a new circuit can be installed with little inconvenience. Though it will no doubt require an updated consumer unit (fusebox) fitting as part of the upgrade.

If you note the part number I gave then go to website shop I’m sure you’ll have no difficulty in buying a replacement. Fitting is straighforward enough with access from the front of the appliance.

What is so very odd about this Aberdeen case is that the clothing is noticable for its absence. The lady was out shopping at the time and fireman dragged the machine out in the street. So how very thoughful was it of them to take out the clothes out beforehand. 😉

You are sure that top spray arm is rotating? (Check its position every few minutes to confirm)

A major challenge for the DIYer and several local repair guys can sort it for you. But it depends on the state of the bearings and the damage they have done that determines its repair practicality.

Yes, replace the drain pump.

Stratfordgirl is very rarely wrong, it must be said, hence why (I too thought it Hotpointy) searched further into this and grabbed that still from a video after the fire & rescue damped the flames.
I doubt that Jim will be called in any time soon to be part of any forensic team analysis as to what started the fire. Though I agree his assumptions that no fire inside the drum took place. That also rules out Ken’s take, in this instance, of the wrong fabrics on the wrong cycle theory.
So, I’m going with fluff on the heater catching fire and the plastic heat guard outside the back panel catching light. Followed by the lid flame-out transmitting forwards toward the fascia panel. At that point the (apparent?) smoke detector kicked in alerting the neighbours. Meanwhile, the owner is out shopping (for gods sake) and the whole tenement block is out on the street videoing the chaos……
And they all then try and put the blame at Whirlpool’s door. :rolls:

If that serial number were preceded by another 0 then it would be 2007.

Oh dear! Not using salt in the water softener then eh. Then there will be more trouble to follow I’m sure. 🙁

Probably the front thermistor (aka NTC) is the culprit (part no: 00154166).
I take it the fans are clear of debris and the condenser is spotlessly clean?

That same mystery tumble dryer in Aberdeen once it was dragged outside………. Indesit?

The control panel looks pretty grubby and the panel is cracked, being as the controls are touch sensitive a clean might not go amiss.
Also does the door lock I wonder?

ParticipantRe: Bosch Classixx Dishwasher
Not knowing the model number I can only guess. It could be the water diverter isn’t operating the top spray arm? The spray arm holes could be blocked? Insufficient water level? Top spray arm jammed by plates and pans on the bottom shelf?
