Re: Help choosing a replacement machine

I would have thought you would steer clear of Whirlpool after that tale of woe?

    The mid-price range BOSCH I would πŸ˜‰

No Mike wouldn’t drill & fill on a job like that, more likely he would use the ‘cut & shut’ method :rotfl:

Well then why don’t those amongst us that see themselves as “WHITE VAN MAN” take FREE DRIVING LESSONS from Alistair Darling.

Not having the benefit of the oven model number, some have had modified back panels (sheets) others had elements upgraded (new part numbers) and so on. πŸ˜‰

Are you sure? What meter are you testing it with?

Heating elements down to earth cause untold grief!

Also, test the ‘anti-flood’ device microswitch whilst you’re there?

If you’re in the trade pup, there is really no need to post trade questions in the public forums (as this thread was!)

Not easily as it will likely be fluff blocking the condenser duct and certainly needs checking first!

Another possiblity is that the suspension has failed (spring come off)?

Best way to tell is if the inner drum does not line up with the position of the door opening, then the drum has dropped! πŸ™

Re: Bosch WFF 2001 rubber seal problems

Possibly overloading your machine has caused some clothing to have caught between the inner and outer drum? The door seal has been wrenched around a bit and needs refitting correctly. The front panel has to come off for that and I seriously recommend expert help to fix and check your machine over (see link below πŸ™‚ )

Your confusion got me also trying to figure out why the hell the whitegoods industry refer to them as “ceramic hobs” when in fact they are made out of glass????
