I would like to think that the ASA will rightly uphold the complaint by the FSB. We are constantly given little credibility by the authorities at the best of times 👿

    Re: brushes

I think it’s very likely that kalamity (like so many other members of the public at large) may well have mentioned to someone that his (or her even?) washing machine had failed. Very often a standard reply from a friend or work colleague would be something like ….”oh, I expect the brushes have gone on it?”

Faced with that seemily credible advice (and in kalamity’s defence here) having access these forums, merely enquired as to their ‘location’ ?

Kalamity was rightly surprised by the reply I suspect 😕

Well following on from my last post and I must thank Washvac_Wayne no doubt for his intervention in spotting my plight here on UKW. 😉

His colleague (I will call Washvac_David if I may?) Telephoned to apologise for the error and has put the relevant wheels in motion as it were, to visit me, demonstrate the features of the Parts Center website and supply the new Parts Center Catalogue.

So things are looking up 😀

Take out and clean the fill magnet/float unit in the tub (make sure you put it back the correct way round though) 😉

Zanussi TC484W t/dryer, complaint: “Takes well over 4 hours to dry a few towels and they come out all tangled…its been like it for several months now!”

Cause: The belt broke long ago and she never noticed the drum wasn’t turning and the clothes she threw in the dryer in a tangled heap, just sat there all the while!!!!!!! 🙄

them and return them to the dryer.

The same instruction (above) is added to Hotpoint/Creda Vented dryers and on several pages of the instruction booklet they show the following warnings:

“Never switch the dryer off with a hot load in the drum. You must terminate every programme with a cool tumble phase”.

Whenever any faults develop with a dryer it’s abundantly clear that the user never reads the book anyway irrespective of what is written within 🙁

Our way we can contribute to advising new customers of the pitfalls towards any service contract. Therefore could I suggest that you ask your customer to post their experiences likewise as a warning to others?

    Re: Serious Windows wmf.exploit threat.

My PC was buggered by this problem Jim and I am waiting for the MS patch (due Jan 10th I think?).

Currently I cannot see any thumbnail images or open thumbnails using Window Picture & Fax Viewer which has been disabled by this bug.

I also had to delete Internet Explorer and reload as somehow a hack had changed my log-on command to some 0870 dial-up number and address? As I use a USB modem on broadband it never worked fortunately but a sod nevertheless to sort.

I only hope the MS patch works and I thank you for posting on the subject

    Re: neff s6409nogb/03 dishwasher

Firstly reset the programme to clear the last programme setting and try again. Then you should get the various prog options to select/step through. Once selected it should register and advise you shut the door?

If none of that happens I can only figure the connections in the prog module have gone AWOL or worst still the Power module behind the RH side panel????
