The Bosch site doesn’t really give much info on water consumption in this regard, I know it is very little as you have found out 😉 Incidentally when you run the machine without clothes it only fills to a low level anyway. As soon as a load is applied, that very sensitive Pressure switch gets to work adding extra water (through displacement) and also through motor loading, it gauges how much extra it needs as it fills and turns….very clever stuff! That’s why I was more than a little concerned that you “twiddled” with this seemingly innocence device and could have stuffed it in so doing?
Wiring diagrams???….No chance in hell, not even to us in the trade…SORRY! 🙁

ParticipantRe: Where have they gone?
I know it gives Chris hours of fun answering their queries so that’s one benefit. There was even mention yonks back about branching out with aussiewhitegoods.com and Alexa helping run it, but I guess that all dryed up like a wallabies whatsit. And Alexa must have waltzed off with Matilda I guess :con:
The only downside I can see is that, as Dave observed today, it just cloggs up the scrolling XML syndication with little or bugger all interest for UK users thats all 🙁
But I’ve never ever seen a Fisher Paykel to know what it is anyway. 🙄 Chris is sending me on a mission to Auckland to find out in the New Year, so maybe if I come back I could help out with all these many questions they keep asking us on UKW :rotfl:

Interested in your thoughts.
My initial thought is that you have bu&&ered up a perfectly good pre-set Pressure Switch 🙁
6 litres is the normal (intentional) water level. The Drum Paddles act as scoops to shower the clothes as well as distribute them around the drum. Your only problem prior to your twiddling was that too much powder (or the wrong type) was put in the wash in the first place! 😯
I therefore recommend you purchase a new replacement Pressure switch, stick the lid back on and away it should go, good as new 😀

No worries, I just thought perhaps your topic had been posted in the wrong forum, that’s all. 🙂
Your reasoning duly noted…it stays here

Pogo,
Bit tricky to answer but likely the heating element or motor caused the fuse to trip and could also have damaged the Module. So it could be costly to diagnose and fix I’m afraid 🙁
You could try Repairs@ for a local independent engineer to call in and check it for you 💡

ParticipantRe: Down to earth cooker elements
Yes indeed these replacement element insulation problems go way back for me to the old Moffat days. (1970’s) 😯
Almost always affected the side or bottom elements and rarely the grill element. What we did then (no RCD’s in those days, just lousy Megger readings and tingling sensations when you touched the oven door, gave the game away :zap: ) and I have done since whenever I get problems is simply to disconnect the earth for 15 minutes or so whilst it heated up nicely. Meggar it after and reconnect the earth again
Much better than bu&&ering about sticking them in the vice or whatever 😉 As very often using that method can distort the element anyway as they are not in their fixings. They will absorb more damp when they cool and by the time you fit them, you’re back to square one again 🙄

Lots are written about problems we suffer regards the lack of information within these many Trade Forums for you to swat up on. For starters try this one:-
