This is an odd one that might suggest the microswitches on the pressure chamber need a close look at. 💡
I personally haven’t had Main Module problems on this beast but obviously as Dave says it cannot be ruled out 🙁
The machine is very easy to dismantle by the way and as you have got it in your workshop it is worth a close look (once you’ve sussed the fault that is) If you PM me I can ‘talk’ you thru that process (useful Training Aid eh?…and in the true spirit of UKW….FREE! 😀 )

Access from the back to loosen the rear panel sufficient to remove the drum…

ParticipantRe: Aeg fill level
Once you adjust those screws on a pressure switch you immediately trash it! You will need a new pressure switch and clear the blockage in the water level air bottle that is causing the problem!

ParticipantRe: Servis Quartz 1250: power light blown
Parts for the Servis Quartz range are now pretty well obsolete due to its age 🙁
A new Power Board for one would be a rare find indeed 😕

ParticipantRe: Help on old Zanussi washer
Fascinating thread this, beats Evren Yurtsen’s for originality for sure 😀
OK, the pump looks fine, there’s no blockage in the hoses both to and from the pump, it’s is wired correctly AND now I too have heard it running. The Askoll pump is new so that rules out wear and its fitted into it’s housing correctly so it should be clear enough to rotate. Indeed it sounds as though it is rotating smoothly as any magnet pump should. 😉
But I think that whilst it is under load (i.e actually pumping water) it does indeed sound laboured 😕
So my conclusion is the fact you are using a 240volt 50Hz pump on a 240volt 60Hz supply and little magnet pump won’t like that extra 10 cycles and its overall power potential therefore will be radically affected 🙁

Err sorry Gegsy no! 141120 is the number, but no matter spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk is where you will get what you need should the pump need replacing 🙂

kwatt wrote:Bearings can’t be changed in-situ, we tried to get that but it just wasn’t happening. However, on the plus side, the whole front comes off (a-la Hotpoint) so the whole lot is very easily removed. In saying that the bearings are pretty chunky and I wouldn’t expect that to be a major problem. The tank design is very “Zanussi Nexus” with pinned suspension.
andy2 wrote:re: the tub bearing assy do you know what type of seal is used as i think this is more important than the bearing size issue.
A bearing seal is a bearing seal, the problem with bearing failure is not the seal but down to the drum shaft/collar design and spacing. 😉

Next time you see a Zanussi W/D I think you will spot the TOC around the askoll coil. Whilst they appear like a common or garden Askoll pump, looking closely you will notice that the mains terminals are offset (some with 3 terminals (one blanked off) as in this example = Part No: 1249206128 😉

ParticipantRe: bearing punch
The ‘collets & springs’ of the Hotpoint kit are available separately, I don”t think the collars (which is what I think you meant) are though 🙁
Any local engineering workshop (or Blacksmiths) should be able to make up whatever type of drift tool you require. Machined on a lathe to fit whatever size bearing you wish. Just show them a sample bearing and they should be able to cut one from various steel rod sizes. Some can also temper them for added strength. 8)

ParticipantRe: Bosch WFF2000 PreWash Light Flashing (again…)
Your machine is 9 years old now so I suspect the pump to be worn, noisy and prone to sticking. If the impellor has the least bit of lateral movement, that’s a dead giveaway (i.e New Pump required).
Part available via emailing spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

ParticipantRe: Creda T601CW not heating (Thermostats already replaced)
John,
Creda have had problems with some makes of Timer control fitted to this model (the Heater Switch within burnts out 😕 )
I expect the timer is not giving a live feed to the element unit anyway, therefore fitting a conversion timer unit the only answer. There are 3 differing timers depending on the machine ‘date code’ (that’s the first 2 numbers of the machines Serial No by the way 😉

peterdickeson wrote:Is this a spare part to replace.
Yes most likely a spare part required to sort. Although there are no less than 3 variants for this model, the most common one is part no: 50204873009 available by emailing the details to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
I repeat though, it is best someone sort it for you however capable your ability to DIY may be. 💡

Your problem is associated with the motor speed control. Most likely it requires attention to the Motor tacho. Not a serious problem and easily sorted by a local independent engineer. Click here Repairs@
