You need to hit the “Save” button, then in the “Save as” box give some sort of reference number or name. Then ‘save’ that order and it will be saved forever and retrievable at any time under the Floppy Disc Icon “View saved Packs”

You can add to it at any time in the future and indeed have several “Saved Packs” if you wish.

eastlmark wrote:Also, the check stock function appears only to check the stock at local plumb centres and provides a list of addresses and managers names etc

You need to enter the postcode of the actual Distribution Depot (DL10) and not your postcode.

eastlmark wrote:I have not yet had a visit from parts centre reps to show me how to use this so I may be just doing it wrong.

I’m sure in the fullness of time a rep will call and see you to explain, but they are’nt that red hot on it anyway. If you’re stuck its best to phone their helpdesk I reckon.

And I know what you mean about ‘alternative part no’s’, they don’t exist any more and that will be one of many of their undooings in turning customers away to other more brilliant sites that have 🙁

Press and hold the “Start/Pause” button for 5 seconds should re-set?

If not give me the 8 digit Product Number (Starting 3???????) and I will look up the manual.

Free samples, tee shirts and or fleeces is all very fine, and let me please stand in the queue for my quota if there’s any going, but that is really not the point is it?

The point is the valuable knowledge each engineer can so easily retain* when faced with any washday problems his customer may be faced with. And that this leading detergent manufacturer has the common sense to realise a need for such training and to cooperate directly at the very grass roots of the industry. That says more to me about promoting brand loyalty than any freebie packet of soap powder. 🙂

    * The freebie ‘Training Manual & Laundry Guide is a great start we all get to keep after all!

The Element Assembly (Part No: 1741122) is available via emailing spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and the cost (I think?) is around £25 plus p&p. 🙂

    Mark,

Both fault E52 & E53 are associated with Motor failure. Whilst I have not had such problems with one of these and reading about the insulation problems you have experienced so far. I can only conclude that the motor is the guilty party 🙁

I have replaced 2 Delay Timer PCB’s on this model for exactly that reason = Not filling!

No idea about the Hotpoint equivalent by the way, besides the Hotpoint price likely to be double. (Oh and by the way when I enquired with QER and EMW, they cannot repair them 🙁 )

Very likely Richard, the ‘Regeneration Valve’ Part No 051835 is available by email order to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk (enclosing this information)

Just double check the salt cap and the threads on the salt container aren’t damaged but I’m 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain it needs a new valve.

An easier option is to get a local engineer in to fit it for you, try Repairs@ for one in your area 🙂

Clearly a serious fault has developed with your machine and I would advise you not to use it until the Hotpoint engineer has a least checked it out 🙁

Well if its a ‘dual heat model’ then one half of the element has failed and a new element assembly will be required 🙁

    What’s the model number?

Sounds likely the element or thermostats have failed and it’s just tumbling with cold air?

Costly for someone to fix in the grand scheme of things considering it’s age and the cost of a similar replacement 🙁
