Sounds a good deal to me? What is its ‘FD’ number as that will tell me its age?

Unlike Ken, I will have to wait til a rainy evening in May to see old Reggie D when he comes to Readings Madjeski Stadium. 🙁
I did invite a certain slaphead from Rotherham, but the tight git blobbed out on the offer with the excuse that he reckoned his old Merc van couldn’t make the trip :rotfl:

ParticipantRe: Bosch dishwasher not pumping out
JN,
Test the pump and reset are very easy to do. Firstly to reset, with the machine switched on and running, simply depress the 2 programme buttons together (marked ‘reset’ – I think on this model it is the 1st and 3rd buttons, not sure?) and hold them for 3 seconds. The machine will stop its current activity and immediately pump for exactly 60 seconds and then switch off!
You should hear the pump whirring away all the while, that then indicates it isn’t jammed up anyway. Now checking to see if it isn’t blocked is a little messy only because it involves taking the end of the drain hose and blowing back up the pipe and into the dishwasher ( 🙁 ) It should not be hard and you should hear it bubbling away, which again indicates all is clear 🙂
Very often dishwasher drain hoses share the same pipe outlet as the sink, and major source of blockages is the coupling to the drain pipe under the sink. Taking it off and inspecting that connection can often cure all 😉

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WD62N
Twoten,
Change the cold valve!
Sounds to me, although there may be a high water pressure situation, that the restrictors within that valve are not doing their job. The clue for me here being the fact that you mentioned the water bubbling out of the dryer ‘water break’ area (“small vent port”). It could be that in the past a pattern valve was fitted? These valves often have got the restrictors in the wrong place 😉
Fit a genuine Hotpoint replacement valve, turn the stop cock up full blast, then see what happens. It should work just fine….fingers crossed eh ❓

Whirlpool probably No1? Followed closely by Electrolux then by Merloni (Indesit) I expect 😕

Mark,
It is next the the heating element attached to the tub with a rubber grommet. For liability reasons we cannot advise that you investigate further, rather do check our repairs@ for an experienced engineer to take a look and get it sorted for you

I’m afraid we need that Model number in order to help. Likely situated on the side of the door 😉
Should start DWD, DWF something like that OK?

😕 Dunno Seamy to be honest on this one 😕
I guess you have checked that the sump trap/air chamber are clear? Beyond that I guess you have to suspect the Prog/Module… Sorry but I do not have tech info on this model 🙁
Maybe Brian can help us out here though 💡

ParticipantRe: SMEG dishwasher Error E6
The error code indicates a Heating fault? Does the pump drain, can you hear it running?

It’s likely the Heating Element is the fault 😉
