Tis true, but I was also a busy boy today, out at 08:35 back at 17:05. 9 calls, non stop, no grub or cups of tea.

Must lie down now and take a nap. Early start in the morning, first call 21 miles down the road from here, must be there by 9 (Hotpoint WM62 “Burning smell & now won’t spin!”…wonder what that could be???)

    Night night 🙂

I visited ‘Birdworld’ at the weekend and the ‘Penguin Keeper’ said that Penguins like to ‘take a nap in the afternoons after a good feed!’ that’s all 😆

    Re: Public Liability Insurance.

    Oh Dear! 😳

I have just double checked my Public Liability Insurance only to find I am not covered for work done in ‘Commercial Premises’ (i.e. Pubs, Hotels, Guest Houses, Offices etc. etc) I have just recently increased my cover from £1m to £2m and only now taken time out to study the policy. It only covers me for work in ‘Private Dwellings’.

Crickey 😳 I had better get on the phone and sort it tomorrow, but posted this just to prompt others to check their policies in case you have the same ‘endorsement clause’ on YOUR policy ❓

Oh how I wish we could have invited a CORGI representative to our meeting next month. It would make so much sense as I am sure they could answer all these points and more 😉

Hold up Rob, quite the contrary, the ‘self-tapper trick’ actually makes work by being able to complete a job that your potential customer would otherwise say no and go out and buy a new machine 😆

£73 for a new Fascia Panel plus Labour and VAT is a no! no! at around £130 in total. We ‘saintly service engineers’ do the job and keep another customer 😆 😆

My advice, nip to B&Q and get yourself a box of assorted self-tappers mate! 😉

That is the advantage of Independants fast service and not afraid of weekend work either. 🙂 Unlike Gias, who pay peanuts and are running out of monkeys 😆

….arrange to be in “After 1pm”. Travel 22 miles to the call, get there at 2:45pm and find she is out!………………..When she calls me at 7 p.m that evening after finding my ‘Out Card’ on the coconut matting, simply says…”Sorry about that but I had chance to do a bit of overtime, so I couldn’t pass that up!”

When I went back today fixed the machine and charged her ‘Double Call-Out’ she said, “Oh Dear, that’s cost me more than doing the overtime, silly me!”

Re: Need help deciding between 3 new Bosch Washing Machines

    Ego_Shredder,

My personal choice of the 3 Bosch machines you quote would be the WFO2866. A good, reliable and well founded piece of kit. The other 2 are fine, although 1600 rpm is far too unneccesarily fast for its own good 😉 Plus they take ages to complete a towels type wash!!!

The brush motors are fine, last ages and the sophisticated electronics will ensure even on a wooden floor, it is stable 🙂 Service and repairs are much cheaper than Miele because many ‘Independants’ are out there able to fix them at a far cheaper rate (and quicker) than the manufacturers 😉

However, don’t right off your Miele too easily, it can be overhauled for less than the price of a new Bosch you know 😉

    Now it’s your choice!

    Xaq,

The Programme Selector ‘Potentiometer’ (Part No C00076707) is available at under £10, if you feel that is the fault?
