So you were a Candyman then Ken?
Well well. Remind me to ask you what the hell those funny Drum Pulleys with springs and counterweights are all about?

An interesting idea indeed if it can get enough support.
K.
I too have registered my support. Try also contacting ‘Gatsoman’ if you live in the Midlands.

ParticipantRe: Indesit WE14 problems and Merloni adviceline?
The motor did wash ok but on spin just hummed, simply because of a bad module terminal connection to the relay that switches to spin I guess?

ParticipantRe: Indesit WE14 problems and Merloni adviceline?
I called back on this job for a closer look only to discover the module connector block was the problem. Just a quick scrape of the pcb and twaeked the connector pins and away it went.

I am convinced the module is the culprit but I don’t do guesswork for a living. But I guess I may have to in this case?

Once you have got the CD Rom Merloni Disk you at least with then be able to see the parts you want and get it quicker from all the other National Wholesalers. Merloni are a bit slow with deliveries and often to secure the job you need Next Day Delivery.

I think it probably the most obvious line to check as Dave suggests (his Item a) Heater????????
After it has proceeded some 50 mins as you say, it should have long ago started to wash and released the detergent flap and be well hot by then. I reckon the reason is in the heater circuit somewhere??

Bravo Ken!
I applaud your comments on this subject and I would encourage ALL within the trade to join especially the likes of rudolph who has been a priceless contribution to our group so far, long may his input continue.
However like many fellow members, I too am curious why they should take that option? (They could obviously correct that by editing their ‘Profiles’ at any time in the future and I hope most will consider doing that) What have they got to hide?
I would love to know?
Check me out, I run a high profile business, nothing to hide, thrive on competition, up front all the way, I appeal to “A.N.OTHER” to let me know your reasons?

alf_uckem wrote:or the house is absolutely minging and there’s NO WAY you’d consider a cup of tea!
I stopped saying yes to a cup of tea OR coffee from customers over 20 years ago. My health no longer suffers from the putrid muck most folks brew up. What killed it for me was a call all those years back when ‘The Daily’ at this posh gaff made me a cup of tea. She kept walking past me reminding me to drink it “before it gets cold!”
On the 4th time of reminding me I picked it up, it felt cold so I downed it in one, only to discover she had put 2 heaped spoonfuls of salt in it thinking it was the sugar bowl she was using!!!!!!
Take my long lasting advice…NEVER ACCEPT AN OFFER OR A CUP OF TEA It’s good advice!
