Beko or Zanussi washer dryers are for you. Do NOT even think of buying Hotpoint or Indesit. All other makes take hours to do a wash and dry cycle, so don’t got there either lest you have money and time to waste that is?

Just remember to use salt in a very hard or medium hard water area. Very very important trade tip. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Be sure not to replace it with Bosch or Neff then as they too are total garbage using a similar heat/pump combined system doomed to fail after a year or three.

Probably the TOC in the motor (small silver device soldered in the carbon brush support ring) has blown. ๐Ÿ™

Unhook belt via bottom plate removal. Back panel off and lift the whole drum out. A very simple straightforward procedure and even easier once you’ve done one or two. (…..as is our lot in the trade, where we quickly learn that the edges of the pressed steel panels are razor sharp! ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Just guessing here but it looks like the error code : F0 plus the H for Hot. At least the user manual has it listed……

Well? How did it go? What did go on that was to dominate the agenda?

In past meetings there were dozens of comments about how good it was. Strangely silent now. Was it the effects of that “scary movie?”

The “NTC” is in effect the thermostat. A small electronic device inserted into the heating element or alongside. It has two thin wires going to it. That NTC needs replacing at least from the symptoms you describe anyway.

Help the Aged Bosch washing machine

sandh wrote:but the control knob feels odd, as if it might be disengaging at times. What do you mean by the inner control dial, as I think you might be on to something.

The control knob and its inner dial are made up of several separate parts ( see Bosch’s website for exploded parts view) and are prone to cracking/breaking due to age effects of plastic. It may explain the fault you are experiencing. I’ve come across it a number of times over the years.

I doubt the timer or circuit board are at fault. They are built like the proverbial Deutscher ScheiรŸehaus ๐Ÿ˜‰
