ParticipantNeed advice on buying a vent hose

But if you thing about it, at one end of the coiled flexi vent hose you would need to thread any adapter (say) clockwise. But at the other end the opposite applies……go figure! πMartin

ParticipantRe: zwd1480w
It could simply be the inlet valve as the coil can act intermittently when it gets warm. Works OK cold then after a few minutes goes O/C. And unless the valve (or coil) are replaced you won’t know for sure.

Oh dear so maybe your suspicion about the PCB being at fault may have some standing. π

Oldtog wrote:Now it is September, still not many members. DASA is not the Association it once was……………..Ah well such is life.
Once upon a time it was an association of ‘backscratchers, two for me, one for you. Almost exclusively a ‘not what you know but who you know club’. Even back in the early days of UKW, a time when there was a rebellious faction of DASA members aggrieved at the apparent in-fighting within DASA committee members, DASA kept rolling along oblivious, regardless.
Back in 2003 the hard core members still posted optomistic stuff here on UKW when their forthcoming AGM was announced……..
All DASA and non DASA members you all should come.
If you feel you may lose out financialy by comming, trust me, you will lose out BIG TIME financialy if you don’t.
Move on 12 years and the wheels have all but fallen off or rusted beyond beyond further rotation. The old boys club will probably close its doors in the not too distant.
Just my opinion of course and purely based on outsider observation. Looking at things from the outside can often give a clearer and totally unbiased view after all said and done.

Any make of ‘integrated’ dishwasher can easily be installed above a drawer unit or extra high plinth the establish the height you require. At Magnet and Wickes showrooms around the country you will find examples of dishwashers installed in wall units as an example of what could be achieved.

White Knight make a decent compact dryer. So take heart there are plenty of examples of good cheap appliances on the market.
In fact almost the opposite applies these days in that if you buy expensive the built quality/durability is no better than the much cheaper brands.

ParticipantRe: north west based work
It’s a jungle out there Mike and there are no short answers and work is not handed out on a plate either. He will have to get out there foot slogging posting flyers through letter boxes. Get a web site into action. Drop by a few letting agents. And register with agents such as National Appliance Care may be your starter for 10 π

Most likely the overheat protecting thermostat (aka TOC) is activating. Maybe the cabinet cooling fan is not working hence not cooling and the TOC is doing its job as a result. Did you notice the cooling fan (at the top behind the control panel) is working?

Did you Megger the machine, especially things like the heater can cause it to abort?
By the way, post Technical questions in Trade Technical not here in General πMartin
