In spite of having to use a Zanussi and not a Neff ‘slide ‘n hide’ we have another ‘Star Baker’ it seems.

Well for the cost of fitting a part to cure it easily it would make sense to buy one of these….

You will need to declare any known faults of fixtures and fittings on the ‘TA6 Property Information Form’ when selling your home. Including faulty ovens, extractors, taps that dont work, faulty cisterns etc.

You should have continuity between two or more pins (motor terminal connections).

dave_h wrote:One problem however- in the past ,despite the oven being level and true , cakes do tend to rise unevenly. Any tips ?

1: Baking at too high a heat setting.
2: Air circulation restricted (i.e oversized baking sheets or use of baking foil.
    3: Flour/butter mix uneven.

Firstly THE most obvious thing to check is the motor. 😉
The motor is the component that takes all the stress and strain and the most likely of all parts to fail.

Brushes wearing a common problem. You will also need to clean away all signs of carbon dust from the motor and dismantling it completely is favourite for that. But first, check all the terminals for electrical continuity ( i.e. Pin to pin). That’s a dead giveaway toward problems within. Before refitting check the earth potential of each terminal. Any leak to earth will cause electronic issues with the main board or worse still keep tripping the RCD.

    Have fun! 🙂

    Re: Bosch dishwasher E24

As you probably know E24 refers to a drain pump issue. But it could also mean the drain valve is partially open or worse still the actual heat pump is running slow.

Have you actually changed the drain pump out of interest?

Capricious wrote:Have you any advice how I get to the bottom panel with this model?

With the power disconnected, firstly the side panels need unscrewing from the front and unclipping from the back. Then lay the appliance on its back and remove the bottom plate. Access all areas from there. 🙂

I think if you were to double that figure, and by no more, then you’d be about right. And for each subsequent year hereafter whittle it downward.

I’m just guessing of course, we can only guess anyway but I’m not far off the mark.

Certainly not the NTC and very likely the heater relay on the control unit PCB 🙁
