Yes pattern elements are far cheaper and often just as reliable. Search the shop on this website for a suitable alternative. 😀

You too will be a “Whitegoods Wizard” if you use the search facility for behold in there our resident wizard nomadPaul suggests it is the Inverter Board that is usually the trouble.

Take a look! Type ‘Bosch F57’ in the search box…….. 😉

Re: AEG L75670WD Washer Dryer Broken door

A difficult question to answer without seeing the door as you will appreciate. If the outer plastic door surround is cracked then perhaps it would be safer if held it together temporarily with (e.g.) Duck Tape? If it’s badly cracked and broken and held together only by the effects of gravity and wishful thinking then NO! Wait until it can be fixed. In other words no hard and fast rules but let logic prevail otherwise the consequences could be dire. 😕

Re: Help! How to get inside an AEG Lavamat?

I use a length of stiff wire with a small hook on the end and smear the rim of rubber lightly with Fairy liquid. Put as much of the wire ring on by hand then place the hook under the remainder then pull it over and around until it’s all in place then wiggle the hooked tool out….job done in seconds! Yah! 😉

Just unclip the door gasket from the front panel then, using a telescopic magnet wand (most DIY stores and Poundland sell them) retrieve the errant bracket.Easy!

Those folks down in Southend reckon to have one in stock, though how true that is is anyones guess. Might also be worth a bell to Neff anyway 💡

    Re: Hoover VHV680C door issue

You will need to cut back the leads beyond the burn then fit crimped amp (spade) terminals on the end. Crimping pliers and spade terminals available from places like Screwfix, B&Q etc. If the leads need to be lengthened then 13amp flex can be easily bought by the metre (mains cable type flex – remove outer sheath). Join the leads using blue butt connectors (crimped using same tool).

It’s a mains interference suppressor, a legal requirement that manufacturers are obliged to install. It prevents spurious interference with other electrical appliances and devices such as radios, TV’s and remote control devices etc.

Could any one of a number of reasons. But far cheaper to get someone to
fix it than replace it. Besides it is far better a machine than today’s modern rubbish.

Then you’re going to have to get the machine out and remove the plinth and side panels in order to investigate further.

    Re: Inner surface flaking.

Agreed, it’s just the painted surface blistering off due to the natural corrosion these alloy drums suffer from in old age. 5 years you say? Probably much older as time flies faster than most of us can recall. 😉

    Re: Bosch SGV53E03GB flood

I’m a little confused about what you are telling us to be honest. “Flood?” You didn’t explain exactly where the water is flooding? Is flooding a slight over exaggeration? Perhaps water dripping down the front? Or there’s water getting into the base tray? Can you be a tad more specific please? I’m certain this can easily be resolved by the way.
