Be careful not to enlarge the holes that you drill the rivets out of, as the screws may not have anything to grip on to if you do… There are 6 holes in all, but i think only three have a thread on them?

Never seen one that was riveted, could be a previous engineer job maybe?

You should be ok if you drill the old rivets out, remove the old shaft. Clean up the holes, and then fit the new shaft with the supplied screws..

I’d check out the videos on bearing changes on YouTube…it’s a lot easier than explaining it in detail..

Let us all know how you get on

I bet the only parts they carry in the vans are Motors!

Never heard, or seen a 0307 till few minutes ago courtesy of YouTube…

What a simple looking machine, but it never had a drain pump?
    Great wash action though

Is it the heater box only that is hot? And not the entire back panel
If so you need to check this out as it may be clogged up with fluff, especially if you have a burning smell ?

If not I’d agree with the first reply

It’s time which started looking at the interior of these machines.. And rating them on build quality

    As the saying goes

    You can’t judge a book………..

I have a very small one of those extendable magnetic retrieving tools, so small it fits in the drum holes… Excellent for getting bra wires to poke through a hole to retrieve… Also I have a very strong larger magnet which sometimes works..

And it’s possible to remove the door seal and retrieve them through the gap between the drums

Must be a better way tho?

Thanks for the advice guys, but as its for re sale..I think I’ll replace all parts with genuine ones, including the tub seal… Don’t want any comebacks!

Thanks again anyway, always good to have different opinions

Re: Diplomat ADP 8132 not draining

As long as the dishes are dry at the end, then when you set it for the next wash, it will first drain any water out..and it’s usually clean water left from the last rinse…. So maybe your other half can cope with that…hope someone else has come across this fault before, and can point you in the right direction…

    I’m stumped if I’m honest!

    Re: Tips, Tricks & Shortcuts

Just been to a hotpoint WD420 with worn brushes..

Due to the construction of the kitchen, i just managed to unplug the machine..then found the drain

hose was in two lengths, reaching through several cupboards to the waist outlet!

So the only way to get at the brushes was from underneath, after tilting the machine backwards in to it’s allocated space..

I managed to get the brushes off, and whilst waiting for a new set to be delivered..came up with a idea to aid refitting..as you have to feel for the screw holes in this very limited space..

    Solution

I put the screw in to the new holders, using a dab of wood glue to hold in place.. And just enough thread protruding to allow me to align the brush back up..
Then I simply had to position the screwdriver and tighten up…

    Hope that makes sense…

Most likely the carbon brushes in the motor…as I’ve just come from doing the exact fault on your model
