Isn’t there a test program for these Mieles? Also fault codes?

Re: Candy W/Drier CDB 126-80 PCB fault?

    The story continues….

I sent the PCB to EMW for repair (because they test it first and if no fault found then all I have spent is the postage). It came back today with a note saying “cannot repair as processor is blown and will not accept commands”

I called Connect for a new PCB and got a very nice price but 10 to 14 days delivery. So I called GIAS (more expensive, even with my discount) and was told “we are out of stock of this item and cannot predict when it will be in stock again as we are having problems…..”

So I called the property owner and they are getting a new machine (NOT a Candy!)

I found a service leaflet from GIAS dated 9/7/05 (N. 807 LB) that states that the code “(top row) “start” LED plus the (bottom row) second button (time delay) flashing alternately – just these two LEDs” shows when “serious trouble is encountered”, which is what I was getting.

I guess a blown processor on the PCB counts as “Serious trouble”!

PS: I also bought in the new Dryer NTC and wiring loom, as per Fault Code Eleven, and the GIAS leaflet on this. The “loom” is two wires with a plug for the NTC at one end, and two amp tag connectors at the other. Can someone tell me where these are supposed to plug into the PCB (which has edge connectors)???

Re: Candy W/Drier CDB 126-80 PCB fault?

Went round to check out dryer NTC continuity, and there is no problem with it: – at the NTC and at the end of the loom at the PCB I get a clear 70 Kohm (approx) no problem . I even double checked with another NTC.

(the room was unheated, but still well above the 2 degrees causing the “other” fault described in the service sheet from Gias)

So am I correct in assuming it is the PCB needs repair/replace?

    Makes sense

I’ll get the mod parts (for the dryer NTC) and report back!

    Thanks Martin.

But would that cause the machine to refuse to run ANY program for more than 1 second, and abort with the LEDs flashing as above?

The customer now reports the machine is working perfectly. Great news! I guess one of those happy times when just inspecting the machine remedies a bad connection…

Unfortunately the customer baled out, and stopped the last cheque……

    Can’t win ’em all.

I hate these “european” (or Chinese) dishwashers! Give me a Bosch/Neff any day.

    Thanks for the figures Mark.

So if it isn’t the NTC, isn’t the heater relay on the PCB, isn’t the heater, wot the ‘ell is stopping it heating………

Also what does eleven flashes on the test pgm mean? (The dryer section works perfectly)

    Hi Bryan

    You said:

“there is a modified pressure switch for this haier model which allows the extra fill level.
I will get the part number later today”

Did you manage to get the part number?

Also, do you have any theory as to why this happens? Does the motor run slower with age?

    Re: Kenwood dishwasher under-heating E3

Per my previous post, I got the Part No. 504-517-103-3452-2 from Connect but although listed as “thermostat kit” it has only one stat. Connect said it replaced a previous part.

My question is, per a previous thread, there is also a “thermal limiter” fitted to the Haier machines (see Whitegoods shop “012G6010009 – Hygena & Others Dishwasher Thermal Limiter” with photo. It screws into the tub base). This has a manual reset. Could this be the problem, rather than the single stat (Which incidently comes complete with the plastic holder assy, which in fact has room for two stats) ??

    Regards to all

    Thanks John

Fitted the little bayonet-type NTC probe and D/W is now heating properly.

How about £54.31 (plus VAT) for the Stator Assy including the Hall Sensor? And overnight! (carriage four quid)

I ordered from Semi-Nedis late yesterday and was amazed when it arrived by DHL at lunchtime.

    Just off to fit it.

    Re: LG DIRECT DRIVE MOTOR

The fault code shown is “LE”

Since the Hall effect (described on Wikipedia, if you wanna look!) sensor is included with the stator coil assembly, by getting the stator coil, you will never know if just changing the (much cheaper) sensor would have fixed it alone.

Anyone fixed the fault by just changing the Hall-effect thing?

Re: LG WD12126RD Washer Motor locking up

    Thanks guys.

Am I right in saying that if I buy the stator (coil) assembly this includes the Hall effect sensor?

If this is the case it might be wise to play safe and buy the stator assembly..
