Re: Indesit WIE1575 – DEND in display

😀 Called to this one this morning and reset the machine as suggested, turned out the customer had put it into demo when she was trying to cancel the program.

    Thanks again.

I am going to one of these tomorrow, I have not come across these driers before, and the customers description of the fault matches yours, I would be interested to know what you found.

    To reset it.

Turn the appliance knob to the off or reset position, 12 o’clock.

Turn the knob to the 6 o’clock position.

Press and hold the spin button.

Whilst holding it, turn the knob to the 7 o’clock position.

Continue holding the spin button for about 5 seconds.

    Release the button.

    Turn the knob to off.

When your turn it back on it should have cleared the error code.

Just been back to this one and did the above procedure, and it worked a treat. 😀

    Thanks again everyone.

I’ve had a similar problem in the past, mine was situated against a single brick wall and it only got the problem during severely cold weather, I could only assume that the water was condensation forming after it had been used.
I remedied the problem by putting a sheet of polystyrene between the dryer and the wall.

Thanks for your help Mike, I got both of those belts, and called out, only to find that the belt was actually ok, the drum had gotten jammed with what I think was a colour catcher :rolls:

Incidentally I checked for model numbers and the rating plate (sticker) was missing from the back and no label behind the door either :hmm:

Re: White Knight vented dryer – which belt??

    Hello Mike,

Yes it is full size, Banjo element, the dryer I would reckon is around ten years old, the label behind the door has disintegrated and my customer can’t see anything on the back of the machine (She is quite an old dear though, so there may be something on the back that she is missing) The most significant thing that I can remember about her dryer was that it has two belt tensioners, nearly all the other WK dryers I have fixed have had none.

I think PMP777 from Connect will do the job, possibly twists on the opposite way to the gen one but should do the job anyway, at 6.94 +vat it’s worth a try. 🙂

Ok so it’s been a while 😳 I tried that link and they came back with ‘we are sorry we can not help you on this occasion’

So now my wife is threatening divorce, which does have it’s merits, but the down side is she earns way more than me so I better try and keep her sweet.

So anybody know anywhere else I can try for this *&*@ing door seal.

    Cheers

    Re: Hotpoint WF440

I know this sounds stupid, but I’ve done it myself 😳 Is the motor plugged in correctly? I think these motors have an extra pin and the plug can be put back incorrectly ie one position to the right or left if you get what I mean.
