    Re: connells estate agents nightmare!

Three repairers are having trouble getting paid in my area at the moment one from october!

Thankfully i’m not one as since being bitten like this too many times they have to pay the call-out up front then parts on the job. (needless to say some don’t want to work like this but look what happens so we don’t miss it)

Same old excuses. “The landlord wont pay so we cant do anything”, “there isn’t enough money in the rent account” blah blah.

It seems they are so used to being “agents” that if landlord wont pay it’s hard luck for you. Even though your contract is with the agent.

    Re: unpaid

Call the customer and say the suppliers have issued a recall on a batch of badly manufactured belts and you will call and replace it free a charge.

Then go and strip the dyer and leave it like that go to your van and drive away.

Or if he brings the belt in you can hold back the “replacement” it in lieu of payment for work carried out.

Start at the heater. Test if insulation reading is poor and if so replace.

    Re: ISE5 V2

Ok so went back to look at this and after much (very) random button pressing.

Keeping a finger on start button it displays the 0:-n then after a few seconds flashes twice at which point if you turn it to off it then clears.

But had to do this a few times so i the guess time you take to do it is critical.

It goes like this if you try and select a program after the last program has finished if you don’t turn it back to off first. I refitted the old pcb and reset it so i’ll send the new one back as not needed.

Turns out the guy had lost his wife recently and she did all the washing. He thought when a program was done and it says END that if he wanted to run the program again he just pressed start. This is when it then displays 0:-n .

    Clear as mud?

    Re: ISE5 V2

I’ll have another play but as always with a job like this it’s a million billion miles away too and the customer is to stupid to help over the phone with button pressing and resetting! You know the type! “Which ones the start button” “It just says end” blah blah lolz

Most students use them until they look like that instead of ringing the landlord to say it’s a bit noisy when the bearings go!

Hmm more smelly customers. They’ll be the kind of people that have “self clean ovens” too.
